Well, 2006 is almost history, so if you haven't done so already, you still have a little time to get out to a music business conference or seminar. If you attended this year's TAXI Road Rally then you know how exciting, informative, and creative they can be. Here's what's coming up for November:

8-9 The Billboard Touring and Conference Awards
New York, New York

If you are a promoter, agent, merchandising company, production professional, marketing sponsor, or in any way related to a touring business, then this unique and informative conference is your ticket! As an added bonus, this time around, Billboard will honor the artists, venues, and professionals of the year. Conference topics include trends in venues, negotiating rental and merchandise fees, talent buying, capacity controversies, and more. Panelists from the House of Blues, CAA, Arena Network, Monterey Peninsula Artists, and the William Morris Agency will be there to lend their expertise.
13-14 Billboard Regional Mexican Music Summit
Los Angeles, California

This is the magazine's first-ever summit dedicated exclusively to regional Mexican music which is the best-selling genre of Latin music in America today. Artists, labels, promoters, retailers, managers, and advertising execs will all be present. Summit will focus on the touring and radio aspects of the musical genre. Highlights will include networking sessions, educational seminars and live performances by artists such as Alacranes Musical, Carla de Leon, Grupo Iman, and Los Nietos.
16-17 Digital Music Conference
Miami, Florida

During 2006, more than 10% of the music business revenue was derived from the digital sector. Mobile telephones and other portable devices have impacted the music industry tremendously and this conference is determined to explore that future. Speakers include Chairman/CEO Warner Music Group Lyor Cohen; CEO/EMI Music Latin Marco Bissi, and CEO of Music World Entertainment Mathew Knowles.

See How TAXI Works

"I know from experience that this business is impossible at best. This year my partner and I have gotten 23 forwards and two deals from OneMusic; and I have to say that Taxi does what it says it does."
— Dwight Nichols,
TAXI Member
