More Doors in Nashville Open for Texas Songwriter

When Elliott Park first joined TAXI, he had never even been to Nashville. Now the songwriter has made quite a few trips there. And opportunities continue to flow for this TAXI member of Baird, Texas.

Park signed a deal in 2004 with Extreme Writer's Group in Nashville, has had several songs considered for major country artists (like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, and Diamond Rio), participated in an RCA songwriter showcase for its artists and producers, and contributed five songs to a high-profile children's series.

Recently, with the help of Extreme Writer's Group and Nashville A&R Consultant Shane Barrett, renowned Nashville producer Keith Stegall got to hear some of Park's music. Stegall was moved to put two of Park's songs on hold for projects he's working. The first song is "Let'r Burn," which is on hold with Sony recording artist Brice Long. The second is "Your Smile," a track on hold for Arista Nashville artist and country music legend Alan Jackson.

Not bad for a songwriter whose demos — that he was initially submitting to TAXI — were made on a 4-track machine in his garage!
