Don't look now, but Christmas is right around the corner! Where does the time go??? September isn't usually a busy month for seminars and conventions primarily because everyone is saving up his energy for the annual TAXI Road Rally in November. However, there are a few notable and worthwhile things going on:

Sept. 23rd Annual N. California Songwriters Association Conference
Any time you get toward the end of the year and there's a giant songwriter fest, it's usually worth its weight in gold. This is the last big one for The Coast. Combining seminars, mentoring and hands-on writing sessions, the NCSAC is likely to be sold out. Try them at 650-654-3966 or
Sept. 18-20 4th Annual Americana Music Association Conference
Whenever there's an event being held in Nashville, it's worth attending. The Renaissance Hotel will be filled with pickers from all over the south vying for open mic time and a chance to peddle their wares to the pros. 615-438-7500 gets you more information on this gala.
Sept. 22-24 2003 Billboard Dance Music Summit
The Big Apple hosts this Billboard summit that combines education and tech talk all focused on the dance music genre. The Union Square Ballroom is the setting for this get-together.

Annual World of Bluegrass Trade Show and Fan Fest.
If you're planning on waiting for the last minute to get tickets for this one, boy are you making a mistake. Ever since the success of Oh, Brother, bluegrass has been on the rise. Combining the trade show with the fan fest is a stroke of genius. I'm betting this is one of the most popular confabs of the year! Sure to be a real hoot. Presented by the International Bluegrass Music Association and held at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, you can get ticket info by calling 615-256-3222.

See How TAXI Works

"The TAXI Staff is an incredible support system and they are always on your side. Aside from writing songs, joining TAXI is the most productive thing a songwriter can do."
