TAXI Tip: Your submissions don't need to be in one rigid tempo throughout. Historically, Klezmer music was meant for dancing, so tempos were fluid – often players slightly led or trailed the beat creating a lilting sound. Because of this, it'd actually probably be a good idea to let the rhythms of your pieces flow freely in a rubato style so they feel more authentic. The more your pieces feel like they're being performed by a real Klezmer band, the better!
