CURRENT-Sounding COUNTRY SONGS with Male Vocals are needed by a great Music Row Publisher for a HUGE, Billboard-Charting Duo working on their next album!

They’re currently on the hunt for great Songs in All Tempos that could be heard on the same playlist as the following references:

"Make It Sweet" by Old Dominion

"Long Live" by Florida Georgia Line

"Silverado Saturday Night" by Aaron Watson

Please submit top-notch Songs with great melodies, inviting rhythms, and tons of Country charm. We think it'd be best to stick with typical Country/Country Rock instrumentation and avoid submitting anything with Pop-style beats or production. That being said, your production should be polished and have mainstream appeal. If you are using any software sounds or samples, they can't sound stiff, obviously MIDI-driven, or low-quality. Top off your Songs with some authentic, well-crafted lyrics and expressive, top-tier vocals, and you could have what this act is looking for!

Stripped-Down Demos and full productions are both okay to submit, as long as your Songs are great and your recordings are clean, clear, and well-balanced!

Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe.

NOTEWORTHY: If time permits, someone from the Publisher's staff (who has been trained as a TAXI screener) will screen for this request. That means that somebody who is directly involved in this request could be "ears-on" with your submissions.

The specific deal points will be negotiated on a Song-by-Song basis directly with the Publisher. Please submit as many Songs as you like, online or per CD, and PLEASE include lyrics!  Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, November 15th, 2020.  TAXI # S201115CN

"We Were Rich" by Runaway June

"Next Girl" by Carly Pearce

"needy" by Kelsea Ballerini

Please submit great Country Songs with excellent song craft and lots of mainstream appeal. Engaging rhythms, memorable melodies, and catchy choruses are needed for this pitch. We think it'd be wise to stick with typical organic Country instrumentation with some cool ear candy sprinkled in here and there. Well-crafted, storytelling lyrics with some visual details and well-performed vocals with Country charm could be the cherry on top!

Stripped-Down Demos and full productions are both okay to submit, as long as your Songs are great and your recordings are clean, clear, and well-balanced!

ANTHEMIC, MODERN INDIE ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a Music Licensing Company with a long and impressive list of great placements in Film, TV, and Commercials.

NOTE: We previously ran this request as TAXI Listing #S201018RK, but the Library didn't find what they were looking for. If you submitted to listing #S201018RK, please send different material this time around.

They’re on the hunt for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in the general wheelhouse of the following references:

"Rumble" by Zayde Wolf

"Legend" by The Score

"Watch Me" by The Phantoms

IMPORTANT NOTE: This company offers an Exclusive deal, and is only interested in signing material from composers who have worked for libraries and licensing companies in the past and understand how standard deals work. If you don't have that experience and you don't know the drill on typical deals, then they politely ask that you don't submit to this request.

Send them bombastic, current-sounding Indie Rock Songs with huge drums, great melodies, and anthemic choruses. We suggest sticking with typical Rock-band instrumentation, but some cool modern-sounding ear candy sprinkled in here and there might add some extra "oomph" to your submissions. If you're planning on using Virtual Instruments or samples, we'd suggest adding some real, organic instruments to the mix to add that authenticity factor. Well-performed vocals are essential if you want to catch the attention of this Company! Imagine the kind of music you'd hear in sports recaps on ESPN – that's what they're looking for!

Lyric Tip: They didn't request any specific lyric themes; however, we think lyrics about winning, being unstoppable, etc. could serve you well for this request. Sports, yeah!

Lyrics that avoid using specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity will probably make them happiest. Do NOT copy the referenced acts or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You'll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share, and you'll get 100% of the Writer's share. You must own or control your Master and Composition rights. Since this is an Exclusive deal, please be sure your material is NOT already signed with any other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, November 15th, 2020.  TAXI # S201115RK

MODERN INDIE FOLK ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a successful Music Licensing Company with a GREAT track record of placements in Film and TV!

They’re looking for Songs in All Tempos in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references we got directly from our client:

"The Night We Met" by Lord Huron feat. Phoebe Bridgers

"Dirty Paws" by Of Monsters And Men

"The Ghost on the Shore" by Lord Huron

"If You Need To, Keep Time on Me" by Fleet Foxes

Please submit current-sounding Indie Folk Rock Songs with great melodies, inviting rhythms, and super memorable choruses. We think more organic-based instrumentation with lots of folksy charm could suit your submissions well – some jangly electric guitars might be a nice touch, as well! Just be sure that your production and overall vibe is on the same general playing field as the references and others like them. Expressive, well-performed vocals could be the cherry on top for this request!

TAXI Tip: If you're using any virtual instruments or samples, they need to be high-quality and sound like the real thing – the more your submissions sound like they're being performed by a real band playing real instruments the better. If your songs are mostly done in-the-box, it could be a good idea to add some real instruments to the virtual ones to make your Songs sound and feel more authentic.

Avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity in your lyrics as it will make your Songs more “sync-able.” Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, texture, and tone. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split any upfront sync fees 50/50. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. CONTEMPORARY, EPIC ALT-ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a successful Music Licensing Company with a GREAT track record of placements in Film and TV!

They’re looking for Songs in All Tempos in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

"Shake It Out" by Florence + The Machine

"Better Love" by Hozier

"Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + The Machine

Quoting the Company: "We're looking for epic Alt-Rock songs that start small and gradually build to epic."

Give them super strong, modern Alt-Rock Songs that build in dynamics as they progress. Your submissions should have memorable melodies, great rhythms, well-crafted lyrics, and epic, anthemic choruses. We think typical Rock-band instrumentation is the way to go, here. Just be sure that your production and vocal performances are on the same general playing field as the references and others of that ilk. Like the company said, they want music that starts "small" and gradually builds in dynamics until they're huge, epic, and anthemic – so layer Instrumentation in as your submissions progress to accomplish that!

TAXI Tip: If you are using any virtual instruments or samples, they need to be high-quality and sound like the real thing – the more your submissions sound like they're being performed by a real band playing real instruments the better. It might even be a good idea to add some real instruments over the virtual ones to make your Songs feel more authentic.

EPIC, INSTRUMENTAL TRAILER-Style COVERS of Well-Known Songs are needed by a super well-connected Publisher for Nationwide Movie Releases in early 2021! Here's hoping that we'll be able to go to movie theaters in 2021 ;-)

They're eagerly searching for INSTRUMENTAL COVER VERSIONS that could fit on a playlist with the following references:

"Smoke on the Water" Deep Purple Cover by 2WEI

"Home Sweet Home" Mötley Crüe Cover by Think Up Anger

"Gangsta's Paradise" Coolio Cover by 2WEI

Please submit reimagined Instrumental Covers of well-known Songs that fire on all cylinders from start to finish. Your submissions should evoke a similar epic vibe that's in the general ballpark of the references. Orchestral or Orchestral Hybrid instrumentation that includes Electronic and/or Rock elements are the way to go, here. Any and all software instruments or samples you use should sound current, fresh, and not dated, obviously quantized, or MIDI-Driven. Think of the huge Instrumental Covers you sometimes hear in commercials for blockbuster films – that's what they want!

TAXI Tip: When crafting your submissions, we think that you could either focus on a super recognizable instrumental riff from a well-known song (like the "Gangsta's Paradise" and "Smoke on the Water" covers above), or you can incorporate the main sung melody of the song (like the "Home Sweet Home" cover above). Whichever approach you decide to take, be sure that your Covers are instantly recognizable.

All submissions should be about 2 to 4 minutes long, give or take. Non-Faded, Buttoned/Stinger endings are strongly recommended. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 deal with a 3-year reversion. If they don’t get your music used during that term, you can get your rights back. ORCHESTRAL HYBRID TRAILER-Style INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a 5-Star Production Music Company that specializes in music for BIG Hollywood Movie Trailers.

They’re looking for top-notch Instrumentals in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

His Dark Materials: Season 2 | Official Trailer | HBO

Enola Holmes | Official Trailer | Netflix

The Handmaid's Tale: Season 4 Teaser

Although one of the references has vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this request.

Send them well-produced Orchestral Hybrid Instrumentals that have three “acts” (and good edit points) that build to a climactic crescendo! Your submissions should feature Orchestral Instrumentation seamlessly combined with Electronic and/or Rock elements. We think adding some cool sound-design elements like crashes, bangs, risers, etc. to your pieces might help them stick out and add to their "hybrid" aesthetic! Any and all software instruments and samples you use must be high-quality and not dated, stiff, or obviously MIDI-driven. If you could imagine your Instrumentals in a trailer for a big movie, you might have what they're looking for!

TAXI Tip: Your submissions can have a wide variety of moods from anticipatory to epic to bombastic, but stick to one mood per Instrumental so they remain cohesive throughout.

Your submissions should be between 90 seconds and 2:30 in length, give or take. Good edit points and non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings are recommended for this request. Do NOT copy the referenced examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for feel, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

ORCHESTRAL TRAILER-Style INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a 5-Star Production Music Company that specializes in music for BIG Hollywood Movie Trailers.

They’re looking for top-notch Instrumentals in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

Having some good edit points is a good thing! If you're using virtual instruments and samples, be sure that they're high-quality and not dated, stiff, or obviously MIDI-driven. Excellent musicianship is key for this pitch, so the more your pieces sound like they're being performed by a real orchestra, the better!

TAXI Tip: Your submissions can have a wide variety of moods from anticipatory to epic to bombastic, but it'd be wise to stick to one mood per Instrumental so they remain cohesive.

This Company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control the Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, November 8th, 2020.  TAXI # S201108CH

Lots of ORIGINAL SOLO JAZZ GUITAR INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by an extremely busy Music Library with a tremendously long list of killer placements in Hit TV Shows!

They’re on the hunt for a bunch of Instrumental Cues in All Tempos that are in the general stylistic ballpark of these references:

"Why Was I Born?" by George Van Eps

"Night And Day" by Joe Pass

"Watch What Happens" by Ted Greene

Please submit well-crafted, original Jazz Instrumental Cues that feature guitar as their only instrument. Your submissions should have inviting rhythms, captivating melodies, and phenomenal Jazz musicianship. It'd be wise to craft your Cues around a singular melodic motif and mood so they remain cohesive throughout. If you can imagine your submissions being played in a swanky cocktail bar scene in a TV show or film, send them in!

TAXI Tip: Having authentic-sounding performances is the key to nailing this request! We don’t recommend using virtual guitar samples for this pitch unless you are extremely masterful and your virtual instruments sound indistinguishable from the real thing. Your submissions should sound like they're being performed by a real Jazz guitarist playing a real guitar.

All submissions should be about 90 seconds to 2 minutes long, give or take. Non-Faded, Buttoned endings are strongly recommended. Do NOT copy the referenced tracks in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. You’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is not already signed with other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Lots of MODERN, 1980s-Influenced POP INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTALS CUES are needed by a successful Music Licensing Company with a GREAT track record of placements!

They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals/Cues that could be found on a playlist with the following references we got directly from them:

"Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd

"Hallucinate" by Dua Lipa

"Midnight Sky" by Miley Cyrus

"Rain On Me" by Lady Gaga feat. Ariana Grande

"Electricity" by Silk City & Dua Lipa feat. Mark Ronson

Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals and/or Instrumental Cues only for this pitch.

IMPORTANT: They would like you to submit at least 5 Instrumentals/Cues! They would prefer that you submit an entire album of 10 Instrumentals/Cues, but that's not a requirement! They like to sign full projects, so we are telling the Screeners working on these submissions to look for top-notch batches. That said, if the majority of what you submit is really strong, but one or two are A-minus, they will likely forward your batch. We can't promise that; but if the Screener thinks the overall project sounds really strong but hears a couple of minor things that could be fixed, they will likely be forwarded and we'll let the Company reach out to you to suggest what they think would improve your "batch."

Quoting the Company: "We want fun, upbeat, Pop Instrumentals (or Cues) that feel current and contain synths and percussion heard in popular '80s songs."

Please submit well-produced Pop Instrumentals (or Cues) with an obvious '80s influence and a carefree, youthful, radio-friendly vibe and sound. Your submissions should have great rhythms, memorable melodies, and top-notch synths. Marrying '80s-inspired sounds with polished, modern production is the way to go, so any software sounds or samples you use need to be great-sounding and at the same time, appropriate for the style.

TAXI Tip: Do not send authentic 1980s tracks. They do NOT want material that sounds like it could've been on a Tiffany record in 1987. They want music that sounds like it could be on the radio now!

All submissions should be roughly 90 seconds to 2 minutes in length for Cues and around 2 to 4 minutes for Instrumentals (give or take). Non-faded, Button/Stinger endings will work best. Please do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split any upfront sync fees 50/50. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. Please submit as many Instrumentals and/or Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. A Bunch of NEO SOUL INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a Music Library with a long list of great Reality TV placements!

Please submit Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues that would fall within the general stylistic ballpark of the following references we got directly from them:

"Rehab" by Amy Winehouse

"What You Don't Do" by Lianne La Havas

"You Know I'm No Good" by Amy Winehouse

Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumental Cues only for this request.

Send them well-produced Neo Soul Instrumental Cues with inviting rhythms and memorable melodies and hooks. Typical organic-based Neo-Soul instrumentation with some cool modern-sounding ear candy sprinkled here and there is probably the best way to go for this pitch. Craft your Cues around a singular mood and melodic motif, and layer instrumentation in and out as they progress to create a sense of forward momentum and dynamics. Adding strings and horns could be a cool idea, but it's not required by any means. Be sure that any software instruments or samples you use are high-quality, fresh, and not dated.

TAXI Tip: This library needs a whole bunch of fresh Instrumental Cues in this style; so if you’ve got the goods, don’t be shy about submitting multiple pieces for consideration!

All submissions should be about 90 seconds to 2 minutes long (give or take) with non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings. Do NOT copy the examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 split. You’ll split any upfront sync fees 50/50. You'll keep 100% of the Writer's share. The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this pitch. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. Several TROP POP (TROPICAL POP) INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Top-Notch British Music Licensing Company that needs to keep up with the growing demand for this Genre!

They’re on the hunt for a bunch of really good, Mid-To-Up-Tempo Instrumentals in the general stylistic range of the following references:

"Tick Tock" by Clean Bandit & Mabel feat. 24kGoldn

"Could You Love Me" by Kygo & Dreamlab

"Lullaby" by Sigala & Paloma Faith

Although the references have vocals, this request is for Instrumentals only.

Please submit polished Trop-Pop Instrumentals with engaging melodies, lots of modern ear candy, and great beats with "Tropical" flavor. Your production should be top-notch and feature cutting-edge software sounds and samples – nothing dated will work for this request!

TAXI Tip: They are NOT looking for Yacht Rock à la Jimmy Buffett for this request. Trop Pop music combines super fresh EDM/Pop production with tropical-sounding samples and beats – that's what they want!

Submissions should be about 2 to 4 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the Instrumentals you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with any other Companies or Catalogs. Lots of HIP-HOP-Based TENSION INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a Top-Notch British Music Licensing Company that needs to keep up with the growing demand for this Genre!

They’re on the hunt for a bunch of really good, Mid-To-Up-Tempo Instrumentals/Cues in the general stylistic range of the following references:

Keeping Up With The Kardashians (from 1:13 to 1:49)

Real Housewives of Atlanta (from 3:44 to 4:26)

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (from 10:12 to 10:30)

Send them top-notch Tension Instrumentals (or Cues) with modern Hip-Hop-based production and instrumentation. Build your submissions around a singular motif, and add and subtract layers of instrumentation as they progress to create a sense of dynamics and forward momentum. We think it'd be a good idea to avoid submitting anything that's too busy and could distract from dialog. Simple is usually better!

TAXI Tip: They're not looking for huge tension Instrumentals/Cues that would work in blockbuster movies. Your Instrumentals/Cues should help to establish a tense mood in the context of Reality TV shows – think of the type of music that would work under petty arguments or fights. Listen to the references closely to see what we mean!

Submissions should be roughly 90 Seconds long for Cues, and about 2 to 4 minutes long for Instrumentals, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

They’re on the hunt for a bunch of really good, Mid-To-Up-Tempo Instrumentals/Cues in the general stylistic range of the following references:

Real Housewives of Atlanta (from 0:23 to 1:12)

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (from 0:21 to 0:52)

Vanderpump Rules (from 0:16 to 0:49)

Send them well-composed Instrumentals (or Cues) that could help establish a tense, anticipatory mood and tone in a range of Reality TV shows. Your submissions' instrumentation can range from minimalistic, sparse, and electronic-based to bigger, orchestral arrangements – just be sure that any and all software sounds and samples you use are polished, high-quality, and not dated sounding. Stick to one motif throughout your pieces and create a sense of forward momentum and dynamics by adding and subtracting layers of instrumentation as they progress. Also, you'd be wise to keep your submissions on the simpler side so they don't distract from dialog. They're not looking for brilliant composition, so much as composition that works well in the context of TV scenes. In other words, it enhances, but doesn't overpower or distract from the story or dialog.

TAXI Tip: They're not looking for huge tension Instrumentals/Cues that would work in blockbuster movies. Think of the type of music that would work under petty arguments or fights on a Reality TV show – that's what they're looking for! Listen to the references closely to see what we mean.

Submissions should be roughly 90 Seconds long for Cues, and about 2 to 4 minutes long for Instrumentals, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. SYNCOPATED, TENSION-Building INDUSTRIAL ROCK INSTRUMENTALS are needed for an (up to) $250, Direct-to-Producer/Director placement in an Independent Feature Film!

They’re on the hunt for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that could work as a replacement for “Just Like You Imagined” which is currently temped in.

"Just Like You Imagined" by Nine Inch Nails

They're NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, style, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!

Please submit well-composed Instrumentals that build tension as they progress. Judging by the reference, we think that it'd be a good idea to stick to a singular, syncopated motif and rhythm throughout your submissions, and create a sense of forward momentum and building tension by layering instrumentation in and out as things progress. Typical Industrial Rock Instrumentation with gritty synths, dirty guitars and solid drums will probably work best. Remember, the key to this pitch is evoking a tone, tempo, and overall vibe that's in the general stylistic ballpark of the reference, while making sure you do not try to clone it. It's all about the vibe!

Your submissions should be about 2 to 3 minutes in length, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the reference in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

The license fee for this placement is (up to) $250, depending on the ultimate use. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Producer/Director placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Copyright and Master Recording, plus you’ll also get 100% of the License Fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Copyright and Master Recording to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI A&R Screener. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Monday, November 16th, 2020.  TAXI # S201116NN

NOTE: We previously ran this request as TAXI Dispatch Listing #D200929EH, but the Library didn't find what they were looking for. If you submitted to listing #D200929EH, please send different material this time around.

Note: This company has already signed music from dozens of TAXI members, and they need a lot more to fill up their catalog!

Because this is a new company, they're essentially building their full stash of Mid-To-Up-Tempo Instrumentals (and/or Cues) that could fit on a playlist with the references below:

WARNING: The references may include graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

“One Kiss” by Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa

“It’s My House” by Ship Wreck & Dillon Francis

“Feel So Right” by Marten Hørger & Otosan

Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals (and/or Cues) only for this pitch.

Give them super modern Electro House Instrumentals (or Cues) with tons of current-sounding ear candy; buzzy, pulsating bass; and danceable beats. They're looking for music that could be heard at an EDM music festival now – not at a rave in the '90s, so any electronic elements or instrumentation you use should sound super fresh, current, and not dated-sounding.

IMPORTANT TAXI Tip: Sometimes EDM sub-genres tend to blur together, so be sure that the Instrumentals/Cues you submit really fall into the Electro House genre. Electro House music is generally characterized by tempos between 125 and 135 beats per minute and heavy bass. You can learn more about Electro House music by clicking on this link.

All submissions should be about 2 to 4 minutes long for Instrumentals and roughly 90 seconds to 2 minutes for Cues, give or take. Non-Faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe. Do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Although some of the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals (and/or Cues) only for this pitch.

Send them well-produced, current-sounding Trance Instrumentals (or Cues) with hypnotizing synths, pulsating beats, and a lot of modern ear candy. Be sure that any electronic elements/instrumentation you use sounds super fresh, current, and not dated. They're looking for music that could be heard in a club now – not twenty years ago.

IMPORTANT TAXI Tip: Sometimes EDM sub-genres tend to blur together, so be sure that the Instrumentals/Cues you submit really fall into the Trance genre. Trance music is generally characterized by tempos between 135 and 150 beats per minute and "trance-like" synths and rhythms. You can learn more about Trance music by clicking on this link.

WARNING: The references may include graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

"24" by Money Man feat. Lil Baby

"Flex" by Polo G feat. Juice WRLD

"DOLLAZ ON MY HEAD" by Gunna feat. Young Thug

Although the references above have vocals, this pitch is for Instrumentals only.

Please submit well-produced Instrumentals that epitomize today's Trap music with heavy 808s and prominent Hi-hat samples. MODERN LO-FI HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a successful Music Library that gets tons of placements in TV Shows, Films, and Movie Trailers.

Please send them Down-to-Mid-Tempo Instrumentals that could fit in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the following references:

"2am in cape town" by oh, the joy.

"I Am Fine" by HM Surf & Vesle

"Eternal Now" by less.people

"In the Evening" by Laffey & Yutaka Hirasaka

Please submit top-notch Instrumentals that seamlessly marry laid-back Hip-Hop beats with vibey guitars and synths. Relaxed rhythms and tranquil melodies will help establish the chilled-out feel of your pieces. Your submissions' production should be competitive with the referenced artists and others like them. Be sure that any software samples or sounds you use are cutting-edge as nothing dated will work for this pitch. Imagine the type of stuff a hipster teen would listen to while they're studying – that's what they're looking for!

TAXI Tip: Lo-fi Hip-Hop is all about creating a chill vibe and sound. We suggest playing with textures and filters, but don't lay on the effects so thick that your submissions sound like a jumbled mess. If you listen to the references, you can tell that they have a mixture of wet (lots of reverb) and dry (no reverb) sounds that compliment each other without getting muddy. Remember, less is often more!

All submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Solid edit points and non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings are encouraged. Please do not copy the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

“Still Love You” by Austin’s Groove

“Rabbit Hole (Solardo Remix)” by Camelphat

“Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” by Moreno Pezzolato

Although some of the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals (and/or Cues) only for this pitch.

Send them well-produced, modern House Instrumentals (or Cues) with pumping bass, shiny beats, and tons of modern ear candy. Be sure that any electronic elements/instrumentation you use sounds super fresh, current, and not dated. They don't want pieces that sound like they're straight out of a rave in the '90s, they want stuff that's state-of-the-art!

IMPORTANT TAXI Tip: Sometimes EDM sub-genres tend to blur together, so be sure that the Instrumentals/Cues you submit really fall into the House genre. Broadcast quality is needed.

This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 deal. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share. This is a gratis library where the artist and publisher are paid through PROs only – Not unusual...actually, very common these days, especially for Reality TV Shows. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Please submit as many Instrumentals and/or Instrumental Cues as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Wednesday, November 4th, 2020.  TAXI # S201104HS

RELAXING MEDITATION INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC ARTISTS or COMPOSERS are needed by an eclectic Independent Record Label for their next series of Meditation compilations. If the material is really strong, the Label might want to sign you as an Artist as well!

This Record Label is on the hunt for Instrumentals that are in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

"Chakra Healing 432 Hz" by Steven Halpern

"The Diamond and the Lotus" by Shastro

"Mirage" by Deuter

Although the references are long, please limit your running time to roughly 3 or 4 minutes in length (give or take).

Please send soothing Instrumentals that set a calming, meditative mood and vibe. Your arrangements can feature organic or electronic instruments – or a combination of both! Some light percussive instrumentation is fine, but please make sure your Instrumentals remain peaceful and relaxing throughout. If you could imagine your Instrumentals as background music in a yoga class or meditation room, send them in!

TAXI TIP: Please do NOT include any sound effects in your music such as animal sounds, waterfalls, wind chimes, raindrops, etc.

NOTE: We recommend that you submit TWO or THREE Instrumentals per submission so they can see if you’ve got depth in your material. It’s not necessary to land a deal with them, just a suggestion!

You’d be wise to highlight any licensing experience, fanbase, or impressive sales/streaming figures you may have in your bio. If you’re a new composer and don’t have much of a story or track record yet, but you DO have an amazing sound and the compositions to back it up, they are still willing to give you a listen!

Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe.

The specific deal points will be negotiated directly with the Record Label on a case-by-case basis. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD, and include a photo and bio. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020.  TAXI # S201103MD

A Lot of MINIMALISTIC INDIE FOLK INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a successful International Music Licensing Company with global distribution through a huge music conglomerate!

They’re looking for Instrumental Cues in the general ballpark of (but not limited to) these references:

“Should Have Known Better” by Sufjan Stevens

“Cinder and Smoke” by Iron & Wine

“First Day Of My Life” by Bright Eyes

Although the references have vocals, this request is for Instrumental Cues only!

Send them sparse, acoustic-based Instrumental Cues teeming with Indie Folk charm. Craft your Cues around a singular motif and mood, and create dynamics and forward momentum by layering instruments in and out as they progress. Your production should be generally competitive with the references and other artists in the Indie Folk world – more lo-fi production approaches could work well for this pitch. If you're planning on using Virtual Instruments or samples, we'd suggest adding some real, organic instruments to the mix to help your Cues sound more authentic. Also, any virtual instruments or samples that you do use shouldn't sound stiff, obviously quantized, or MIDI-Driven.

TAXI Tip: We think incorporating some light percussion like shakers, cajón, tambourine, handclaps, etc. could be a nice touch! Just don't get carried away – remember, they're looking for stuff that's minimalistic and simple!

Quoting the Music Library: “We are looking for Cues that are sparse and somewhat simple. Only 4 to 6 instruments maximum. Keep them simple and try to introduce some edit points along the tracks. Very high bar, in terms of realism. Meaning, if any of the instruments sound too 'MIDI' then the Cues should be rejected.”

Your submissions need to be around 2 minutes long (nothing that runs 3 or 4 minutes, please) with Non-Faded, Buttoned endings. Do NOT copy the referenced examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Genre-appropriate Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split any upfront sync fees 50/50. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with any other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. EASY-LISTENING BIG BAND JAZZ SONGS with Female Vocals are needed for an (up to) $250, Direct-to-Producer/Director placement in an Independent Feature Film!

They’re looking for Mid-Tempo Songs that could work as a replacement for “I'll Remember” which is currently temped in.

"I'll Remember" by Helen Forrest & The Artie Shaw Orchestra

They're NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, style, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!

Send them well-produced Big Band Jazz Songs with a laid-back, easy-listening vibe and sound. You can submit recently recorded Songs in the general production style of the reference; or, if you’ve got any vintage recordings (recorded back in the day), they would love to hear those as well!

UPBEAT, LIGHTHEARTED BOSSA NOVA SONGS with Female Vocals are needed for an (up to) $250, Direct-to-Producer/Director placement in an Independent Feature Film!

They’re on the hunt for Up-Tempo Songs performed in English, Portuguese, or both that could work as a replacement for “Bim Bom” which is currently temped in.

"Bim Bom" by Astrud Gilberto

They're NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, style, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!

Please submit well-produced Bossa Nova Songs with fun melodies, upbeat grooves, excellent musicianship, and well-performed, carefree vocals. Authentic-sounding Bossa Nova-style Jazz ensemble instrumentation is the way to go for this pitch. If you're using virtual instruments, be sure that they are super high-quality and sound like the real deal. The more your submissions sound like they're being performed by real humans playing real instruments, the better!

We have a feeling that the Producer/Director likes the referenced track because of it's lighthearted, almost quirky sound and vibe. Try to capture that feeling in your melodies, production, and vocals, and you could have what they're looking for!

Lyric Tip: Since the referenced track features lyrics in both English and Portuguese, we think it would be fine to submit Songs performed in either language (or a combination of both!). Since the reference has such simple, lighthearted lyrics, it'd probably be best to keep your lyrics on the simple side, as well!

You can submit recently recorded Songs in the general production style of the references; or, if you’ve got any vintage recordings (recorded back in the day), they would love to hear those as well!

Lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, and places will make your Songs easier to place. Please do NOT copy the referenced artist or song in any way, shape, or form. Use it as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

"Me Gusta" by Anitta feat. Cardi B & Myke Towers

"Hawái" by Maluma

Send them well-produced Latin Pop Songs with infectious beats, great melodies, and super memorable choruses. Your production should be polished and cutting-edge, so be sure that any and all software sounds and samples you use aren't dated. Just be sure that any software sounds and samples you use are high-quality, modern, and not dated. Expressive, well-performed vocals could put the cherry on top. If your Songs would feel at home in montages on moody teen shows like Riverdale, 13 Reasons Why, or Euphoria, you just might have what this company needs!

You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD, and please include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Saturday, November 14th, 2020.  TAXI # S201114DK

Lots of TOP 40-Style POP SONGS with some TRAP Flavor and Male or Female Vocals are needed by a Successful Record Producer for several (up to) $5,000 placements for some notable artists in the Chinese market!

This Record Producer is looking for more than a handful of Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that are in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the following references:

WARNING: Some references may include graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

"Intentions" by Justin Bieber feat. Quavo

"vicious" by Tate McRae feat. Lil Mosey

"7 rings" by Ariana Grande

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your lyrics DO NOT need to be in Chinese. Lyrics in English are fine. If your Songs are selected, your lyrics will be translated into the appropriate language. You will most likely keep the majority of your publishing, but you may need to share a percentage with the Chinese lyricist who translates your lyrics from English.

Please submit well-produced, danceable Pop Songs with Trap-infused flair. Your submissions should have great melodies, Trap-inspired beats, and killer hooks. Super polished production and well-performed, confident vocals could set you apart for this pitch. Be sure that any software instruments or samples you use are current-sounding and not dated. They're looking for the best of the best, here!

Lyric Tip: Lyrics that evoke positive, edgy, or confident energy will work better than intricate storylines for this request.

The estimated songwriter/producer fee is (up-to) $5,000 per placement. You can potentially earn an additional fee if they choose to keep your productions as-is and buy the entire Songs from you!

Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe.

The specific deal points will be negotiated directly with the Producer and on a Song-by-Song basis. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI screener. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Monday, November 9th, 2020.  TAXI # S201109PS

CONTEMPORARY INDIE ELECTRO POP Artists or Bands with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a well-respected Indie Record Label that’s looking for great new acts to sign to their roster.

They’re looking for talent that would appeal to fans of artists like:

"Supalonely" by BENEE

"Somewhere" by Surf Mesa feat. Gus Dapperton

"No Perfect Love" by Lucy Daydream

Send them well-produced Electro Pop Songs with a decidedly Indie vibe and sound in the general ballpark of the references. Catchy melodies, cool rhythms, and inventive lyrics are essential for this pitch. Be sure that any and all software sounds, samples and production techniques you use are fresh and super modern – nothing dated will work, here. Having a distinct, well-executed Indie vocal delivery could help seal the deal!

NOTE: They’ve asked for at least TWO to THREE Songs per submission so they can see if you’ve got depth in your material.

They’re mostly interested in artists and bands that are active and out there working on their careers, so please include any impressive touring, fan base, sales, streaming, or social media figures you have in your bio. That said – if you’re an artist or band that’s just starting out and don’t have much of a story or track record yet, but you do have an amazing sound and some killer songs to back it up, they’d still like to hear you!

Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe.

Please submit at least two to three Songs, online or per CD. Include lyrics, a photo, and a bio. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, November 15th, 2020.  TAXI # S201115ND

“The Other Side” by SZA & Justin Timberlake

“High Hopes” by Panic! At The Disco

“ME!” by Taylor Swift feat. Brendon Urie

Please submit well-crafted Pop Songs with a generally similar uplifting, emotionally upbeat vibe and sound to the references and others of that ilk. Fun, danceable rhythms; strong melodies, and instantly catchy choruses are essential for this pitch. Your submissions should have polished production and engaging, well-executed vocals from top to bottom.

Lyric Tip: Although they didn't reference any specific lyric themes, we'd advise sticking with happy, joyful (even funny) subjects rather than anything melancholy or on the sad side.

Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity in your lyrics. Do NOT copy the referenced songs or artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

Rap/Hip Hop

Return to List of Categories

MODERN RAP/HIP-HOP SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a 5-Star Production Music Company that specializes in music for BIG Hollywood Movie Trailers.

They’re looking for top-notch Songs in All Tempos that could fit on a playlist of these references, as well as other Songs in this general style:

WARNING: Some of the references may contain graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

"What's Up Danger" by Blackway & Black Caviar

"Pray For Me" by The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar

"Feel The Love" by KIDS SEE GHOSTS

NOTE: This company has landed countless placements in Film Trailers, so presenting them with Songs that can easily be edited into a three-act trailer structure could give you added edge, although it's not a requirement to land this. Here's an example:

Fast & Furious 9 – Official Trailer (from 0:33)

Send them well-produced Rap/Hip-Hop Songs that fire on all cylinders from start to finish. Great beats, innovative instrumentation, and super catchy hooks are essential for this pitch. Your production should be polished and feature cutting-edge software sounds and samples – nothing dated or low quality will work, here. Confident, well-performed vocals with impressive lyrical flow could give you a leg up, as well. Think epic, cool tracks that will help convince people to go out and see huge blockbuster action movies – that's what they want!

TAXI Tip: The bar will be really high for this request, so please only send in material that sounds like it came from a record rather than material that sounds like it came from a typical Music Library.

Although they didn’t ask for specific lyric themes, you should avoid specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This Company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Several NEO SOUL SONGS with Female Vocals are needed by a Music Library with great Reality TV placements!

Please submit Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that would fall within the general stylistic ballpark of the following references we got directly from them:

"Rehab" by Amy Winehouse

"What You Don't Do" by Lianne La Havas

"You Know I'm No Good" by Amy Winehouse

Send them well-produced Neo Soul Songs with inviting rhythms, memorable melodies, catchy choruses, and expressive, well-performed vocals. Typical organic-based Neo Soul instrumentation with some cool, modern-sounding ear candy sprinkled here and there is probably the best way to go for this pitch. Adding strings and horns could be a cool idea, but it's not requisite by any means.  Be sure that any software instruments or samples you use are high-quality, fresh, and not dated.

Lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, and places will make your Songs easier to place.

Note: You'd be wise to submit THREE Songs per submission, so they can see if you’ve got depth in your material. They’re looking for cool acts with killer Songs!

Your recording quality needs to be clean, clear, well balanced, and good enough to represent your Songs well. You’d be wise to highlight any touring/live show experience, fanbase, or impressive sales/streaming figures you may have. If you’re a new artist or band and don’t have much of a story or track record yet, but you do have an amazing sound and the Songs to back it up, they’d still like to hear you!

They're looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that might feel at home on a playlist with the following references:

“One Foot” by WALK THE MOON

“Cake By The Ocean” by DNCE

“Go Big Or Go Home” by American Authors

“What A Man Gotta Do” by Jonas Brothers

Send them current-sounding Pop/Rock Songs with lots of mainstream appeal that exude a fun, upbeat vibe! Your submissions should have infectious rhythms, great melodies, instantly memorable choruses, and a bit of modern ear-candy sprinkled in here and there. Polished production and well-executed, exuberant vocals are a must for this request.

Lyric Tip: They didn't give any preferred lyric topics, but we'd suggest sticking with themes that are happy and fun – they want the viewers to feel good while they're watching this TV show!

Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity in your lyrics. Do NOT copy the referenced songs or artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

ORIGINAL PUNK ROCK PROTEST SONGS from ANY ERA with Male or Female Vocals are needed by the Publishing division of a well-known Label for Film and TV placements.

They’re looking for original Songs in All Tempos that could be found on a playlist with the following references (which we got from the client):

WARNING: The references may include graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

"Anarchy in the U.K." by Sex Pistols

"American Idiot" by Green Day

"You Are (The Government)" by Bad Religion

"We Called It America" by NOFX

"Police & Thieves" by The Clash

NOTE: This client is willing to hear music from any era, as long as sound quality is reasonably good.

Give them solid Punk Songs that could work in upcoming TV shows and films based on recent events. No matter which era you decide to submit, your submissions should stick to typical Punk-band instrumentation: gritty guitars, driving bass, and crash-y drums. Defiant, well-performed vocals with a heaping amount of Punk attitude could help you seal the deal! More lo-fi production could work for this pitch – just be sure that your arrangements and production add to the punky, in-your-face vibe of your tracks and don't detract from it!

Universal lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, times, and brands would be optimal, but we (and the company requesting music) realize that for this type of song you might need to include some specifics. The Label also stated that they do NOT want to hear any lyrics that contain profanity. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe.

If you're submitting vintage recordings, the sound quality is not expected to be on par with today’s broadcast quality! Era-appropriate Broadcast Quality will work just fine. The deal points will be negotiated directly with the Publisher on a song-by-song basis.

Please submit as many Songs as you like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI Screener who has a strong relationship with the Record Label Owner. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, November 5th, 2020.  TAXI # S201105PK

Singer/Songwriter

Return to List of Categories

Lots of CURRENT-Sounding, ANTHEMIC SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a successful Music Licensing Company with a GREAT track record of placements in Film and TV!

They’re looking for a bunch of Songs in All Tempos, in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references we got directly from our client:

"Alps" by Novo Amor & Ed Tullett

"Carry You" by Novo Amor

"Holocene" by Bon Iver

Quoting the Company: "We're looking for epic Singer/Songwriter songs that start small and gradually build to epic."

Send them emotionally moving, modern Singer/Songwriter Songs with great rhythms, captivating melodies, and anthemic choruses with well-written lyrics. Like the company said above, they want to hear Songs that start on the subdued side and gradually build into a huge, epic sound. Organic-based Instrumentation will probably suit your submissions best, but we think some subtle synth pads layered in could work as well. If you're using any software sounds and samples, they need to be fresh and top-notch (nothing low-quality or dated, please!) Top your Songs off with super-cool vocals, and you could have what this company needs. Think of the type of music you might hear in a montage scene on Grey's Anatomy – that's what they're looking for!

TAXI Tip: Since the references have wispy vocals that are performed in a more falsetto, higher register, we think that might be a cool direction to go in. Not a requirement – just a suggestion!

Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020.  TAXI # S201117SS

Several EMOTIONAL SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a successful Music Licensing Company with a GREAT track record of placements in Film and TV!

They’re looking for quite a few MODERN, emotionally stirring Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

"Hunger" by Ross Copperman

"All We Have Is Now" by Ross Copperman

"Down" by Jason Walker

"Stranger" by Katie Costello

Please submit well-produced, modern Singer/Songwriter Songs that are emotionally moving with captivating melodies, killer choruses, and heartfelt lyrics complimented by expressive, well-performed vocals. We think stripped-down arrangements or fuller productions could both work for this pitch – just be sure that your production is high-quality and adds to the emotional feeling of your Songs. If you're using any software sounds or samples, they also need to be top-notch (nothing dated, please!). If your submissions tug at the listeners' heartstrings, you could be on the right track!

Lyric Tip: Although they gave no specifics about lyric themes, we think introspective, thoughtful, or touching lyrics about topics like figuring out life, missing home, regret, hope, wondering about the future, looking for answers, relationships, etc. Think of common things we all think about in our quiet moments.

DARK, REFLECTIVE SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Male Vocals are needed for an (up to) $250, Direct-to-Producer/Director placement in an Independent Feature Film!

They're looking for Introspective, Self-reflective Mid-Tempo Songs that could work as a replacement for “Hurt,” which is currently temped in.

"Hurt" by Johnny Cash

They're NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, style, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!

NOTE: Although Johnny Cash is a Country artist, they're NOT looking for twangy, traditional Country tunes. Focus on the vibe, tempo, tone, and dark, introspective lyric (and vocal delivery) of this song in particular, not his other work!

Send them emotionally moving Singer/Songwriter Songs that capture a generally dark, reflective/introspective vibe. Your submissions should have moving melodies, super-strong choruses, and a raw, honest, believable vocal. We think that more organic, acoustic-based arrangements coupled with high-quality, contemporary production will probably work best. If you're using any virtual instruments or samples, be sure that they're top-notch (nothing dated, stiff, or obviously MIDI-Driven, please!). Again, establishing a dark, reflective feeling is key for this request!

Lyric Tip: We think you can get pretty dark with your lyric themes, but try to maintain a reflective quality and avoid lyrics that are just plain-old depressing. Also, you'd be smart to speak in general terms in your lyric. Don't tell a story because the script already HAS one ;-) Talk about how things feel... maybe expressing things like regret in broad, general terms could work.

Lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, and places will make your Songs easier to place. Please do NOT copy the referenced artist or Song in any way, shape, or form. Use it as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI A&R Screener. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020.  TAXI # S201110JC

Vintage

Original, VINTAGE SONGS in ALL GENRES are needed by the TOP PUBLISHER of VINTAGE MUSIC for Film and TV Licensing.

We purposely avoided putting references in this request as we felt they could be more misleading or limiting than helpful.

This company is very aggressive and incredibly successful in getting Songs placed in Top-Rated TV Shows and some really big Feature Films as well! Nobody in the Vintage Music space even comes close to the number of placements this awesome company has nailed for TAXI members! All reports from our members are that the company is extremely straight-ahead and ethical in its business practices. We concur!

If you’ve got top-notch, well-written Old Songs that date anywhere from 1939 to 1995, this company wants to hear what you’ve got! Seriously, these folks LOVE older recordings and get tons of placements with them!

Folk, Country, Singer/Songwriter, Classic Rock, Soft Rock, Prog Rock, Pop, Reggae, Disco, all types of Jazz, R&B, Big Band, Orchestral, Adult Contemporary, Americana, Punk, Soul, Hip-Hop, and any other popular genres you can think of are all fair game for this pitch, as long as the material you submit was written and recorded prior to 1995! This company has even been known to sign old 4-track recordings and bring them back to life. They love finding really good demos that sound like they should have been a hit back in the day but never got signed or released!

As long as you own or control the Master Recordings and Copyright, you can submit for this Golden Opportunity to get PAID UPFRONT and get back-end income from any applicable Performance Royalties when the Songs are licensed! You CANNOT submit for friends because you need to own or control the copyright and masters!  Have you inherited original old recordings that a parent or grandparent created? Can you prove that you own and control their use? This Publisher is very interested in hearing those too!

NOTE: If you know somebody who might have material like this and they don’t belong to TAXI yet, please forward this to them! This company is hungry to find as many oldies as they can, so your friend may want to join TAXI to take advantage of this incredibly rare opportunity!

Dozens of TAXI members have signed deals and received checks from this company. Some of those checks have been in the $10,000 (or bigger!) range, depending on the catalog size and quality of the material! Many of those deals have been made with TAXI members who never could have imagined that their old recordings would be worth anything in today’s market. Surprise!

They DO NOT want ANY material that was recently recorded and made to SOUND old. They will only take AUTHENTIC OLD RECORDINGS that were actually recorded back in the day, and have copyright dates that prove it! If you’ve got Demos or Masters in any genre, then you could very well have what they need! Worried that your old recordings and productions might sound “lo-fi,” dated, and not contemporary enough? They could actually be perfect for this company! They DO NOT want slick, ProTools-generated recordings!

Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, November 15th, 2020.  TAXI # S201115VG

TRADITIONAL-Sounding WORLD SONGS in a FOREIGN LANGUAGE with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a well-known Indie Label.

NOTE: Songs can be in languages as wide-ranging as Spanish, Arabic, French, Italian, Mandarin, Russian, Greek, Japanese, etc. Just no English, please! Naturally, the most common languages will be more appealing to the client. Obscure languages from lesser-known countries could be less appealing to the label. Sorry, Liechtenstein!!

We purposely avoided putting references in this request as we felt they could be more misleading or limiting than helpful.

Give them well-crafted Songs that capture the true spirit of the Country/Region/Continent you choose. Submissions can range from solo performances or small ensembles to larger, fuller arrangements. Please be sure your vocal performances and production sound authentic to the region your music comes from.

TAXI TIP: They’re open to hearing recently recorded Songs AND authentic vintage masters recorded back in the day, as long as the sound quality is reasonably good. We recommend that you submit TWO or THREE Songs per submission so they can see if you’ve got depth in your material.

The specific deal points will be negotiated on a song-by-song basis directly with the Label. Please submit as many Songs as you'd like, online or per CD; please include lyrics. All submissions will be screened by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Monday, November 9th, 2020.  TAXI # S201109WM
