OLD-SCHOOL PARTY HIP-HOP JAMS with Male or Female Vocals are needed for a Direct-to-Ad-Agency placement in a National TV Commercial for a Huge Telecommunications Company!

NOTE: They have not been given a budget on the music yet, but our GUESSTIMATE based on past requests from a company of this caliber is between $50,000-$100,000. That's our educated guess, but please don't hold us to that!

We know that the music will play an imperative role in this spot in a funny way, as the music will bring an edge and/or some dirtiness to this commercial. They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that would fit well on a playlist with the following references they gave us:

WARNING: Some of the references have graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

“Whoomp! (There It Is)” by Tag Team

“Push It” by Salt-N-Pepa

“Blow The Whistle” by TOO SHORT

NOTE: Recently recorded and Vintage Songs can both work for this request!

Please submit original, well-crafted Hip-Hop Songs that have a convincingly authentic "old-school party" style and vibe. Make sure your music productions are rhythmically and melodically engaging and in the general stylistic ballpark of the references. Be sure your vocal deliveries are packed with tons of energy and attitude.

TAXI Tip: Unison/gang call-and-response vocals in the choruses ("There it is!") could be incredibly helpful. Not a requirement, only our suggestion – but they were pretty common in these old-school party jams!

Lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, profanity, and places will make your Songs more usable. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for feel, texture, tone, and vibe. Please avoid any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Era-appropriate Broadcast quality is needed.

This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Agency placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Copyright and Master Recording. You’ll also get 100% of the Master License Fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a screener that's been hand-picked by the Ad Agency. Short critiques only. All Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, December 12th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191212HH

PARTY-Style HIP-HOP SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed for a Direct-to-Ad-Agency placement in a National TV Commercial for a Huge Telecommunications Company!

NOTE: We are also running a TAXI Listing for Party-Style Hip-Hop Instrumentals as #Y191212HP, so please don’t confuse the two!

They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that fall in the general stylistic wheelhouse of (but not limited to) the Songs below:

WARNING: Some of the references have graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

“Haute” by Tyga ft. J Balvin, Chris Brown

“Throw It Back” by Missy Elliott

“TINTS” by Anderson .Paak ft. Kendrick Lamar

“BOP” by DaBaby

NOTE: For this request, they’re open to hearing a wide range of Hip-Hop styles, ranging from modern Hip-Hop to Trap. Some upbeat, funkier Hip-Hop could also work too as long as it sounds modern and has ENERGY!

Give them fresh Hip-Hop Songs with great energy and banging beats that get the party started! You’d be wise to have really catchy choruses and some engaging hooks that grab the listener. Compelling lyrics and vocal deliveries that display plenty of swagger and attitude could get you to the top of their list!

Avoiding references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity in your lyrics is strongly recommended. Please do NOT copy the referenced Songs or artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and vibe. Please avoid any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast quality is needed.

UPLIFTING, INSPIRING FOLK/SINGER-SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed for an (up to) $40,000, Direct-to-Ad-Agency placement in a TV Commercial for a big company.

They’re looking for a Mid-to-Up-Tempo Song in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the following reference we got from them:

“Everything Is Possible Now” by Clouds and Thorns

NOTE: The Ad-Agency absolutely loves “Everything Is Possible Now” by Clouds and Thorns as an example of what could work in this Commercial. To be clear: They’re NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, style, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!

It's probably the anthemic, joyful proclamation of the best of humanity that resonates with this company's brand managers and the ad agency's creative team. "Aren't we lucky to be alive and loving life?" seems to be the implied message.

Most of this company's Commercials have a similar vibe and message; and it's notable that while all of the music they use is "feel good" in the melodies and lyrics, some of the tunes they've used in the past do NOT have super-slick productions. They clearly go for uplifting lyrical messages and a joyful spirit. They will use Songs with somewhat stripped-down arrangements and productions if the feeling and messages are on point!

That said, they did give us the reference, so that's likely your best clue. Other Songs they gave us that fit musically, but NOT lyrically are:

“Riptide” Vance Joy

“House of Gold” by twenty one pilots

Please give them well-crafted Folk/Singer-Songwriter Songs in the inspirational, uplifting style of the references and other Songs in that ballpark. Your submissions should have solid melodies with really uplifting choruses, coupled with great vocal performances. Your productions should have primarily acoustic-based instrumentation and should be rhythmically and melodically appealing from start to finish.

Using some group/gang vocals or some non-lyrical chants (“ooohs,” “yeahs,” “heys,” “woo-hoos,” etc.) could help give your Songs a more advertising-friendly sound; however, those are not necessary to land this – just a suggestion!

LYRIC TIP: Lyrically the Songs/concepts need to express either loving others (non-romantically), helping others, camaraderie, hope, inspiration, feeling good and/or anything else along those lines. Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, and profanity in your lyrics.

Do NOT copy the referenced Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use it as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed.

The estimated license fee is up to $40,000, depending on the ultimate use. This is a Direct-to-Ad-Agency pitch. You’ll keep all ownership of the Copyright and Master Recording, but you won’t be able to license your Song to any other TV Commercials for the duration of the term of the agreement, which will be determined by the Ad Agency and you.

You must own or control the Master and Composition rights to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener hand-picked by the Ad Agency. Short critiques only. The screener will largely be basing his decision on what his gut tells him will work well for this commercial, and feedback will be minimal. All Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Tuesday, December 17th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191217UP

ORIGINAL VINTAGE GOSPEL SONGS RECORDED BEFORE THE YEAR 2000 with Male, Female, or Choir Vocals are needed by an A-List Music Publisher for Film and TV sync licensing.

If you’ve got old recordings that sound like they could be on a playlist with the following references (and others in that general stylistic ballpark), you might have exactly what this awesome publisher needs:

“How Much We Can Bear” by Hezekiah Walker

“Nobody Knows” by Pastor T.L. Barrett & the Youth For Christ Choir

“I'm a Soldier In the Army of the Lord” by Rev. James Cleveland

“God Is Not Dead” by Joshua's Troop

The recording quality is not expected to be on par with today’s broadcast quality for this pitch, and you can submit old masters or old demos. Many TAXI members have been signed by this publisher with nothing more than a good demo recording. The Publisher is much more interested in finding music that sounds authentic to the time period. They are the hot, go-to company for a long list of extremely popular TV shows and Feature Films when music from a specific time period is needed.

The Publisher pays you upfront for the master recording rights.

This company often averages several placements per week, and many of those are TAXI members who’ve been signed with this company because they submitted to a listing like this! Dozens of TAXI members have signed buyout deals with this company. Several have even received upfront checks for $10,000-$15,000 (or more!) Deal sizes and buyout amounts vary, depending on the quantity and quality of the Songs signed by the Publisher.

Make sure your Songs were actually recorded before the year 2000, otherwise this company cannot use them! They DO NOT want material that was recently recorded and made to sound old. They can only use AUTHENTIC, VINTAGE RECORDINGS, and only if the sound quality is reasonably good. This is a golden opportunity to make money with music you might have thought had no hope in today’s market!

Your name needs to be on the copyright. Your Songs need to be original compositions (no covers), and you need to own or control the copyright and master recordings to submit for this pitch.  DO NOT SUBMIT FOR FRIENDS! Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. Please include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – Short Critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, December 26th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191226TG

CONTEMPORARY, “TRADITIONAL-SOUNDING” COUNTRY SONGS with Male Vocals are needed by a well-known Music Row Publisher for a newly signed, up-and-coming International Artist.

They’re looking for Songs in All Tempos that could be found on a playlist with Songs (and acts) like:

“I Lived It” by Blake Shelton

“Even Though I'm Leaving” by Luke Combs

“Millionaire” by Chris Stapleton

Submit well-structured Country Songs with visually descriptive and conversational lyrics. Be sure to include captivating melodies and incredibly strong, memorable choruses that sound like hits! Your Songs should have a more traditional Country sound in terms of structure, lyric themes, melodies, and productions. Having solid, well-performed vocal deliveries should also help get the Publisher and the Artist more excited about the possibility of recording your Songs!

NOTE: Stripped-Down demos and full productions are both okay to submit. Your demo quality should be competitive with Songs being pitched on the Row.

The specific deal points will be negotiated directly with the Publisher and on a song-by-song basis. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191210CO

CONTEMPORARY ELECTRONIC DANCE Songs and/or Instrumentals with Hooks are needed by a Top International DJ for his next Single! He is distributed internationally by Universal, and he has accumulated more than 100,000,000 Spotify streams.

NOTE: We recently ran this request as TAXI Listing #Y191108DN, and the Artist "wants to hear MORE stuff!!" If you submitted to listing #Y191108DN, please send in different material this time around.

He’s searching for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs or Instrumentals with Hooks that would fit well on a playlist with these references:

“What Are We Waiting For” by VAX

"Exit Sign" by The Knocks ft. Gallant

Desert Walk (Rasmus Hedegaard Remix)

NOTE: Your Songs can be sung or rapped, as long as they're well performed with plenty of energy and attitude!

Please submit well-crafted Electronic Dance Songs with catchy melodies, driving dance beats, and plenty of ear candy. Your submissions should have solid structure with danceable rhythms and super-catchy choruses that pop out and turn heads.

TAXI Tip: Feel free to push the boundaries a bit in your productions! Engaging and interesting beats with unique, current sounds could help you grab this DJ’s attention. Your submissions should sound like the Dance Songs that would play in a real cool nightclub. This artist tends to veer a little bit more towards the "dark side" of EDM.

This act will likely remix or rework the Songs, and it’s an actual possibility that they may keep your vocals on the tracks! The deal will be negotiated between you, the DJ, and the Record Label, but it’s pretty obvious that the deal is likely going to be a co-writing agreement!

Your recording quality needs to be clean, clear, and well-balanced to represent your Songs well. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD; include Lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Monday, December 9th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191209ES

Foot Stompin’ INDIE FOLK/AMERICANA SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a Music Licensing Company that gets TONS of placements on numerous TV networks!

They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic ballpark of the references they gave us below (and other Songs/acts in that wheelhouse):

“Ho Hey” by The Lumineers

“Little Talks” by Of Monsters And Men

“I Will Wait” Mumford & Sons

Please submit roots-y Songs that capture the essence of the Indie Folk/Americana genre. Your submissions should have organic-based instrumentation, moving melodies, inspirational lyrics, and vocal performances that engage the audience on an emotional level. Your production style can range from very simple tracks with just acoustic guitar, handclaps, and foot stomps, etc. to small acoustic-based ensembles and even all the way up to more fully produced tracks. Having a well-performed and distinctive vocal sound/identity could also help you stand out.

TAXI Tip: Adding in some simple, non-lyrical Group harmony vocal parts like: “whoas,” “yeahs,” “heys,” “ohhhs,” etc., could be an icing on the cake, but they’re not absolutely necessary…just an option!

Although they didn’t ask for specific lyric themes, universal lyrics that avoid references to specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity could make your Songs more appealing. Please do NOT copy the referenced artists or Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, and they guarantee placements within 18 months! If they don’t get your Songs used during that term, you get your rights back. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. You’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright.

SOULFUL INSTRUMENTALS are needed for several (up to) $3,000 NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Ad-Agency placements in a Digital/Online Commercial for a Major Retailer.

NOTE: We are also running a TAXI Listing for Soulful Snippets (Songs) as listing #Y191213UP, so please don’t confuse the two!

They’re looking for Up-Tempo Instrumentals that would fit on a playlist with the following reference (which we got from the client):

“I Feel Good” by James Brown

NOTE: The energy, soulfulness, and "hook-y" quality in the reference Song is what the production company is trying to capture.

Please submit expressive, feel-good Soul Instrumentals that have plenty of spunk and personality with soulfully expressive melodies, funky bass lines, and solid rhythmic elements. This Ad Agency is open to hearing both Vintage and/or recently recorded Instrumentals. Anything that sounds stiff, synthetic or obviously MIDI-driven won’t work well for this request.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All submissions should be a minimum of 30 seconds long and no longer than 1 minute (including ring outs and reverb tails). Short intros (or no intros) and Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings are all recommendations for this request. Do NOT copy the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

The estimated license fee for each placement is (up to) $3,000, depending on the ultimate placements. This request is for digital/online ads, hence the relatively low creative fee (when compared to a broadcast Commercial). Keep in mind, online ads that do well often migrate to broadcast or cable TV with additional fees paid when that happens!

This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Agency placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Copyright and Master Recording. Please avoid submitting anything too busy as it might distract from dialogue.

All submissions should be about 2 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, Buttoned/Stinger endings are strongly encouraged for this pitch. Do NOT copy the referenced Cues in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for feel, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. You’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share and they’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed to other Libraries or Catalogs. A BUNCH of DRAMEDY INSTRUMENTAL CUES with MIDDLE EASTERN Flavor are needed by an International Music Library with worldwide distribution through Universal!

NOTE: Due to the unique nature of this request, we purposely didn't include references as we felt they could potentially be more misleading or limiting than helpful.

Please submit well-crafted Dramedy Instrumental Cues that utilize the instrumentation, rhythms, and melodies of the Middle East! Your submissions should tastefully blend Dramedy elements like Pizzicato strings, Piano, Violin, Clarinet, etc. with Middle Eastern instrumentation like Duduk, Ney, Santoor, Saz, Bouzouki, etc.

NOTE: Although they’re open to Instrumental Cues that fall pretty much anywhere on the Dramedy spectrum, they DO NOT want to hear anything that sounds childish or child-like.

Be sure to structure your Cues around a central melodic idea while layering instrumentation in and out as they progress to keep them moving forward with a developmental arc. Your submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Non-Faded, Buttoned/Stinger endings will work best for this pitch. Broadcast Quality is needed.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE CLIENT: "If you plan to incorporate 'ready-made' loops into your productions, please make sure each stem has at least 2 layers! That way, every loop has an additional layer that distinguishes it from the original ‘source’ loop.”

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the Instrumental Cues you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with any other Companies or Catalogs! Any sync fees will be split 50/50 with the Company. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. MIDDLE EASTERN ROCK INSTRUMENTALS are needed by an International Music Library with worldwide distribution through Universal!

They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that could generally be right up the alley of (but not limited to) these references:

Arabic Heavy Metal Instrumental Music

Oriental Arabic Metal Music

Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this pitch.

Please send in well-composed Rock Instrumentals that are combined with Middle Eastern elements – melodies, rhythms, instruments, or all of the above! Your submissions should still have some instrumentation commonly found in the Rock genre, but they need to convey a Middle Eastern vibe!

TAXI Tip: If you plan on using Virtual instruments, make sure they sound incredibly convincing and real. Please avoid submitting anything that sounds synthetic, stiff, or obviously MIDI-driven or over-quantized.

Your submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Non-Faded, Buttoned/Stinger endings will work best for this request. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or Instrumentals in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE CLIENT: "If you plan to incorporate "ready-made" loops into your productions, please make sure each stem has at least 2 layers! That way, every loop has an additional layer that distinguishes it from the original ‘source’ loop.”

A WIDE RANGE of WORLD INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES FROM UNIQUE PLACES are needed by a hard-working Music Library with a very long list of killer placements in Hit TV Shows!

Quoting the Music Library's CEO: “I'm looking to add a bunch of International Albums to my catalog. I know that TAXI has members from all around the globe, and this would be a great way to tap into that. I bet we could find some really great, authentic stuff! I’m looking to work with TAXI members far and wide that are phenomenally talented at creating music that’s indigenous to their homeland and culture!”

IMPORTANT: You don't need to actually be from (or live in) the country that your music is derived from. AUTHENTICITY is key, though, so your music should at least sound like you live there. :-)

NOTE: We purposely avoided adding references to this request, as the company wants to hear Instrumentals and Instrumental Cues in All Tempos that represent all sorts of cultures, styles, and moods from all around the world, and we'd hate to stifle your creativity.  ;)

Please submit well-composed, authentic-sounding Instrumentals (and/or Instrumental Cues) that embody unique places around the world. Locations that could work for this might include (but are definitely NOT limited to) Senegal, Armenia, Siberia, Russia, Bolivia, Turkey, etc.

Solo instrumentation and ensemble work are both acceptable for this request, but please be sure you’re using instruments and arrangements commonly found in the style you are submitting to.

TAXI Tip: Your instruments should sound as authentic and organic as possible – nothing synthetic or overtly MIDI-driven, please. If you’re using samples or virtual instruments, expert use of dynamics and expression will help your music stand out from the crowd.

Your submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length, and running a little bit longer is fine. Non-Faded, Buttoned/Stinger endings will work best for this request. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This Company offers both EXCLUSIVE and NON-EXCLUSIVE deals. The specific deal points will be handled on a case-by-case basis. If you’re inclined to sign an Exclusive deal, please don’t submit material that’s already signed with other libraries or publishers. You must own or control your Master and Composition to submit to this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumentals (or Cues) as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Wednesday, December 11th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191211WR

POSITIVE INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed for TV COMMERCIALS by a High-End Music Library with countless credits in Feature Films, TV Shows, and Commercials.

NOTE: We recently ran this request as a TAXI Listing (#Y190920TV), but the company didn’t find enough material last time around. If you submitted to #Y190920TV, please submit different material this time around!

They’re looking for Instrumental Cues in All Tempos that would fall within the stylistic wheelhouse of the references we got from our client:

Positive Ad-Friendly Examples (Dropbox playlist)

Please submit well-composed Instrumental Cues that have an "advertisement-friendly” sound and vibe. Your productions should be driven by organic-based instrumentation and should have some development as they progress.

The key elements that make this Music Library happy are:
• Cues can have a Positive mood (they can be “warm” and/or  “motivational”, but ALWAYS positive.)
• Cues MUST have good edit points
• Cues must be Library ‘friendly’ (i.e.: a clear theme right from the start. Proper mood and pacing.)
• Instrumental Cues can have an ABAB structure, but certainly don't need to (check out the referenced examples). Prominent leads/solos are not needed. Each theme/motif should be found more in the arrangement/chord progressions (again, listen to the examples).
• High quality compositions, tones, and performances are all required.

All submissions should be approximately 2 minutes long, give or take. Non-Faded, Buttoned endings are preferred. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This Music Library offers an EXCLUSIVE deal with a cool twist. You’ll keep 50% of all gross income generated by your music, plus you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share income generated by your PRO. In other words, if the company licenses your music under a blanket deal, you’ll get income. If they license it for a YouTube video, you’ll get income. Not all music libraries pay you for things like that! The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share.

Because this is an Exclusive deal, the music you submit for this pitch cannot already be signed with other Libraries or Publishers. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Composition rights. Please send as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, December 12th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191212FR

PSYCHEDELIC GARAGE ROCK INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a NON-Exclusive Music Licensing Company for the Music Supervisor of a new competition-based Reality TV Series!

They’re on the hunt for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues - pay close attention to the references they gave us to get yourself in the right ballpark:

“Set Out Alone” by Quest For Fire

“You Destroy” by The Warlocks

“Joker And The Thief” by Wolfmother

Although the references have vocals, this request is forInstrumental Cues only!

Please submit Garage Rock Instrumental Cues that lean toward the edgy side of psychedelic Garage Rock both rhythmically and melodically. Your Cues should have a gritty, edgy vibe and style to them. If they make listeners feel like turning on a black light and staring at trippy, fluorescent posters, all the better! Having dirty guitar riffs, fuzzy bass lines, and rockin’ drum parts could all help your submissions stand out for this request! Be sure to add and subtract layers of instrumentation as your Cues progress to add dynamics and forward momentum. Anything that sounds obviously synth-y, stiff, or MIDI-driven won’t work well for this request.

TAXI Tip: The client says that the show has a bit of a "'60s Spy/Heist" feel to it, so having that energy in your Instrumental Cues could really help you grab the attention of this Music Library!

Your submissions should be about 90 Seconds long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

NOTE: This show is on a Major Network and pays good back-end, so your Cues must be of the highest quality!

This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll keep 100% of the Writers share and Master rights and the Library will get 100% of the Publisher’s share for any placements they generate. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. CONTEMPORARY BLUESY ROCK INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a European Music Library that's looking for a bunch of music in this style!

Thumping drums, gritty guitar tones, and signature Blues-inspired guitar riffs will all help give your Instrumentals the edge and attitude they need for this request!

TAXI Tip: Please avoid super-busy guitar solos so your Instrumentals don’t distract from any dialogue/voiceover they might play under.

Submissions should be about 2 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTAL VERSIONS of MOZART PIECES are needed by a Music Licensing Company that’s building a new classical music collection for Film and TV placements.

Please listen to the following examples to get an idea of what could potentially work for this request. Don't limit yourself to just these references though because any original, orchestral-based performances of Mozart's instrumental compositions will be considered for this pitch:

Mozart - Symphony No. 41 in C Major, K

Mozart - Symphony No. 38 in D major, K. 504, "Prague"

Give them Classical Orchestral Covers of Mozart compositions that sound like the real deal! Your covers should stick to the original melodies and arrangements so they’re easily recognizable. All submissions should be between 2:00 to 4:00 minutes long, give or take. Non-Faded endings will work best. Do not copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for the overall feel, texture, and tone. Broadcast quality is needed.

TEEN POP/ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a U.K. Music Licensing Company with GREAT Worldwide Distribution and lots of awesome placements in Film and TV.

NOTE: We recently ran this request as #Y191022PP and the company asked us to re-run this request to see if we could find them even more great material. If you submitted to #Y191022PP, please submit different material this time around!

Please submit Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic range of the references below:

“Sucker” by Jonas Brothers

"Release You" by Megan and Liz

“Best Song Ever” by One Direction

NOTE: This Company has a high bar and they tend to gravitate towards music that “sounds like releasable commercial Songs” rather than material that sounds like it came from a music library. Also, this library is only interested in signing material from composers who have worked for libraries in the past and who understand how standard library deals work. If you haven't worked with a music library before, please do not submit music for this opportunity.

Send in your most energetic, well-crafted Pop/Rock Songs with the right kind of youthful vibe, sound, and style. Instantly memorable melodies, fun lyrics, and super strong choruses are all things that could make your Songs stand out. Seal the deal by delivering polished Pop vocals that are on par with the referenced artists. Think of what you’d hear on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, or other networks that have a tween-to-teen demographic.

Lyric themes can vary, but please don't send anything that's too mature for this request. Keep your lyrical content on the younger side of the spectrum without sounding childish! Avoid lyric references to specific names, dates, times, places, and brands. NO Profanity, please. Do not copy the referenced acts or Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This client may ask you to make adjustments to your mix and master.  If you are unable to tweak your recordings within a reasonably quick time frame, please do not submit for this request.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the Songs you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with other Companies or Catalogs. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. CONTEMPORARY YOUTHFUL POP SONGS with Male Vocals are needed by a Major Publisher for an (up to) $12,000 placement in a Feature Film!

They’re on the hunt for well-crafted, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that you’d hear on a playlist with these references they gave us:

“Let Me Love You” by DJ Snake ft. Justin Bieber

“ME!” by Taylor Swift ft. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco

“Sucker” by Jonas Brothers

Quoting the Music Supervisor: “We are looking for some really fresh, young, cool brand-new music that teenagers living in NYC would be listening to.”

Please submit Pop Songs that would fit right in with the Pop hits on today’s charts, but skew toward the youthful side of the spectrum (not childish, just not too mature in subject matter or overall sound). Your Songs should have a ton of mainstream appeal with a fresh rhythmic, melodic, and lyrical approach. Seal the deal by delivering a polished Pop vocal that’s on par with the referenced artists and other artists in their ballpark!

Important Note: This movie is for teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17, so DO NOT submit anything that’s dark, derogatory or sexual.

They’re looking for acts that would appeal to fans of artists like:

“Thru These Tears” by LANY

Please submit well-crafted Indie Pop Songs that are slightly left-of-center than your typical Pop act, but are still able to resonate with Pop fans and commercial radio. Your productions should be innovative-sounding and in the general range of the references above. Be sure your overall sound is able to highlight your ability to captivate an audience musically, vocally, and lyrically.

Rap/Hip Hop

FUN, EMOTIONALLY UPBEAT HIP-HOP SONGS with Male Vocals are needed for an (up to) $20,000, Direct-to-Production-Company/Music-Supervisor placement for the Opening Theme Song in a new TV Series on a Big Cable Network.

NOTE: You’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share and get the full buyout fee (up to $20,000). Because this request is for an Opening Theme, the show’s production company will get 100% ownership of the Master recording as well as the Publisher’s share of the Song. This is a pretty typical deal for Theme Songs.

They’re looking for current-sounding Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could fit in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the references they gave us below:

WARNING: Some references may include graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

“Tribe” by Bas ft. J.Cole

“DAPPER” by Domo Genesis ft. Anderson .Paak

“85 to Africa” by Jidenna

“Church” by Samm Henshaw ft. EARTHGANG

Please submit well-crafted Hip-Hop Songs that showcase a fresh sound and have an emotionally upbeat feel, mood, and vibe to them. Your submissions should be well-structured with great hooks, catchy choruses, and confident/swagger-filled vocal deliveries. Be sure your submissions have banging, feel-good beats that are on-par with the referenced Songs!

LYRIC Tip: For this show, they’ll be focusing on four male characters as they struggle through competition, jealousy, success, and fulfilling expectations. Of course there will be some love and heartbreak too. Lyrically they’re looking to hear Songs that revolve around (or at least touch on) any or some of the following lyric themes:

• Being with your boys

• Having confidence

• Trying to make it

• Being independent

• Living life

Please avoid specific names, places, dates, times, and brands.

Do not copy the referenced artists or Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them as a general guide for tempo, texture, and tone. Do NOT submit material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media.

Broadcast Quality is needed. Please include a biography with your submissions.

BONUS: Per the client: "Any relevant artist information like YouTube and Streaming analytics would be a plus!" Our take on that: It helps them "sell" Songs internally if they can say, "check them out, they've got a huge following." That being said, Songs that totally nail it, but are not from an artist with a following, could easily get chosen as well. Having a following would just help put icing on the cake!

The estimated buyout fee for this use is (up to) $20,000, depending on the ultimate placement. The show’s production company will get the Publisher's share and Master Recording rights, you’ll get 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties that will come from the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity.

Please be sure that the material you submit for this pitch is not signed with any other publishers or catalogs. Submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD, and include a bio. All Submissions will be reviewed by a TAXI Screener who has been handpicked by the Music Supervisor – Short Critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, December 8th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191208BB

SOULFUL SNIPPETS with Male Vocals are needed for several (up to) $3,000 NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Ad-Agency placements in a Digital/Online Commercial for a Major Retailer.

NOTE: In other words, give them 30 or 60 second choruses (only). Your ring out and reverb tails should be included in that time!

They’re looking for Up-Tempo material that would fit on a playlist with the following reference (which we got from the client):

“I Feel Good” by James Brown

NOTE: The energy, soulfulness, and "hook-y" quality in the reference Song are what the production company is trying to capture.

Please submit expressive, feel-good Soul Song snippets with engaging melodies and uplifting choruses. This Ad Agency is open to hearing both Vintage and/or recently recorded Songs. Be sure your vocal performances are full of Soul and sound like they would work well in the context of advertising.

LYRIC TIP: They didn’t request a specific lyric theme; however, your Songs should be something that can be used to inspire or drive consumers. Here are some ideas, but don't limit yourself to just these – put your thinking caps on! Lovin' life, it's a great day, shake things up, seize the day, living life like there's no tomorrow, etc., etc. In other words -- UPLIFTING, FUN, and ENERGETIC concepts wrapped up in a soulful package. Please avoid submitting anything that’s romantic, melancholic, depressing, or sad. Also, avoiding references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity will increase your chances of nailing this request.

Keep in mind, online ads that do well often migrate to broadcast or cable TV with additional fees paid when that happens!

This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Agency placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Copyright and Master Recording. You’ll also get 100% of the Master License Fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. “I Want To Know What Love Is” by Foreigner

“How Can We Be Lovers” by Michael Bolton

“Love Hurts” by Nazareth

“Forever Young” by Rod Stewart

Please submit compelling, well-crafted Rock Ballads full of great musicianship and authentic Rock instrumentation driving them. Be sure your submissions have a gutsy, emotional vocal performance with great melodies and anthemic choruses that will elicit an emotional response from the listener. You can submit recently recorded material that sounds retro or authentic vintage masters recorded back in the day.

LYRIC Tip: They’re looking to hear love-based lyric themes that sound like they could have been TOP 20 in any of the respective eras. If you're creating Songs from scratch for this request, please be sure not to reference anything outside of those eras!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your submissions need to be polished enough to go immediately on the compilation album if chosen by this record label. Please be sure your Songs have good production quality and are broadcast ready, as no post mixing will be taking place – please ONLY turn in finished products!

The deal points will be negotiated directly with the Label on a song-by-song basis. Please submit as many Songs as you like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI Screener who has a strong relationship Record Label Owner – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Monday, December 23rd, 2019.  TAXI #Y191223PB

ORIGINAL VINTAGE SOUTHERN GOSPEL SONGS RECORDED BEFORE THE YEAR 2000 with Male, Female, or Choir Vocals are needed by an A-List Music Publisher for Film and TV sync licensing.

If you’ve got old recordings that sound like they could be on a playlist with the following references (and others in that general stylistic ballpark), you might have exactly what this awesome publisher needs:

“What A Day That Will Be” by The Cathedrals

“Standing By the River” by The Speer Family (From 0:00-1:09)

“I Wanna Go There" by Blue Ridge Quartet

The recording quality is not expected to be on par with today’s broadcast quality for this pitch, and you can submit old masters or old demos. Many TAXI members have been signed by this publisher with nothing more than good demo recordings. The Publisher is much more interested in finding music that sounds authentic to the time period. They are the hot, go-to company for a long list of extremely popular TV shows and Feature Films when music from a specific time period is needed.

The Publisher pays you upfront for the master recording rights.

This company often averages several placements per week and many of those are TAXI members who’ve been signed with this company because they submitted to a listing like this! Dozens of TAXI members have signed buyout deals with this company. Several have even received upfront checks for $10,000-$15,000 (or more!) Deal sizes and buyout amounts vary depending on the quantity and quality of the Songs signed by the Publisher.

Make sure your Songs were actually recorded before 2000, otherwise this company cannot use them!

Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST) on Friday, December 20th, 2019.  TAXI #Y191220SG

Original, VINTAGE SONGS in ALL GENRES are needed by the TOP PUBLISHER of VINTAGE MUSIC for Film and TV Licensing.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This publisher was at our convention a couple of weeks ago and had numerous TAXI Members ask if they could give him or send him music. He told them (in so many words), "Give it to TAXI so they can screen it and have it go through the normal process first."

If you were one of the people who asked him about giving/sending him your music at the Road Rally, then THIS is your opportunity!

After giving it some thought, we felt it was fair to open this up to all TAXI members!

If you submitted to our last (all genre) Industry Listing for this company #Y190922VN last September, you’d be wise to submit different Songs this time around!

This company is very aggressive and incredibly successful in getting Songs placed in Top-Rated TV Shows and some really big Feature Films as well! Nobody in the Vintage Music space even comes close to the number of placements this awesome company has nailed! All reports from our members are that the company is extremely straight-ahead and ethical in its business practices. We concur!

If you’ve got Old Songs that date anywhere from 1939 to 1995, this company wants to hear what you’ve got! Seriously, these folks LOVE older recordings and get tons of placements with them!

Folk, Country, Singer/Songwriter, Classic Rock, Soft Rock, Prog Rock, Pop, Reggae, Disco, all types of Jazz, R&B, Big Band, Orchestral, Adult Contemporary, Americana, Punk, Soul, Hip-Hop, Punk, and any other popular genres you can think of are all fair game for this pitch as long as the material you submit was written and recorded prior to 1995! This company has even been known to sign old 4-track recordings and bring them back to life. They love finding really good demos that sound like they should have been a hit back in the day, but never got signed or released!

As long as you own or control the Master Recordings and Copyright, you can submit for this Golden Opportunity to get PAID UPFRONT and get back-end income from any applicable Performance Royalties when the Songs are licensed! You CANNOT submit for friends because you need to own or control the copyright and masters!  Have you inherited original old recordings that a parent or grandparent created? Can you prove that you own and control their use? This Publisher is very interested in hearing those too!

NOTE: If you know somebody who might have material like this and they don’t belong to TAXI yet, please forward this to them! This company is hungry to find as many oldies as they can, so your friend may want to join TAXI to take advantage of this incredibly rare opportunity!

Dozens of TAXI members have signed deals and received checks from this company. Some of those checks have been in the $10,000-plus range, depending on the catalog size and quality of the material! Many of those deals have been made with TAXI members who never could have imagined that their old recordings would be worth anything in today’s market. Surprise!

They DO NOT want ANY material that was recently recorded and made to SOUND old. They will only take AUTHENTIC OLD RECORDINGS that were actually recorded back in the day, and have copyright dates that prove it! If you’ve got Demos or Masters in any genre, then you could very well have what they need! Worried that your old recordings and productions might sound “lo-fi,” dated, and not contemporary enough? They could actually be perfect for this company! They DO NOT want slick, ProTools-generated recordings!

Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No Basis. Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Monday, December 23rd, 2019.  TAXI #Y191223RR
