2,500 TAXI members from all over the world attended TAXI's FREE convention this year. They were treated to panels on the A&R process, Hit Songwriting, Film & TV placement, Music Publishing, Song Pitches and much more at this exclusive, members-only conference.
Columbia A&R Executive, Marshall Altman, draws the names of three winners to join him for a private dinner at the Road Rally. Flanked by TAXI's Clint McBay and Michael Laskow.

Okay, we admit it... we lost the names of the guys who won seats at the A&R dinner in the presidential suite. But as you can see, these TAXI members are extremely pleased to be joining Aware Records' VP of A&R, Steve Smith (second from left), Marshall Altman (Columbia Records), and TAXI's Michael Laskow.

Music industry legend Pat Boone, made a special trip to the Road Rally, and was honored for his 50-year career in the business. Presenting the award were producer (with more than 100 Gold and Platinum records to his name) Michael Lloyd (with hat), and TAXI CEO, Michael Laskow.

Successful TAXI members strike a pose after their well-received panel. (l to r) B.Z. Lewis, Elliott Park, Matt Hirt, Michael Laskow, TAXI CEO and Ken Johnson.

Producer/Mixer, Rob Chiarelli (Will Smith, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Ray Charles, LeAnn Rhimes) takes more than a few minutes to field questions from a gaggle of members.

Publisher Robert Case from New Pants Music Publishing, warmly greets a large throng of fans after doing a great job on his panel.

Hello All You Great Taxi Folk,

I am still glowing from my first Road Rally. What an absolute feast it was! You've got yourself a lifer . . . and a recruiter, too. My TAXI member badge dangles jauntily from my mirror, where I can smile and remember. Thank you over and over!

How great to be a part of this vast ocean of music and people. To be inspired by true masters of the craft. To see how many ways there are to the mountaintop. To make some fine new friends, and get a feeling of who some of you are. And more and more . . .

Kamille and Kelly Rudisill, of the band Karmina, do a quickie performance in the hotel lobby.

A&M's VP of A&R, Tony Ferguson, takes a CD from some TAXI members and their bodyguard.

Tony Ferguson (A&M), Autumn House (Capitol), and Louis Posen (Hopeless) must have liked something they heard on the A&R panel.

Larry Willoughby, VP of A&R, Capitol Records Nashville, appears to be downright excited to be at the Rally.
