Justin Petersen

Justin Petersen is a singer-songwriter whose sound blends the textures of Indie Pop and Alternative music. Inspired by timeless storytellers like The Beatles and The Postal Service, his songs balance emotional honesty with melodic depth.

He first took the stage as a soloist at the Monterey Jazz Festival and went on to place in the VH1 Songwriting Competition two years in a row. Early in his career, Justin interned with Powell St. John, the legendary singer-songwriter and member of Janis Joplin’s original band, whose raw storytelling and deep connection to American roots music left a lasting impact.

Justin later worked as an Audio Engineer and Producer at JingleTown Studios — Green Day’s iconic recording studio — where he produced songs for several artists, including Anjus Pale Blue Eyes and Christine Jovan.

In recent years, he has collaborated with Patty Boss, an award-winning composer and producer, to reimagine and expand his catalog. Together, they’ve breathed new life into his earlier work, reigniting his passion for creating authentic, emotionally driven stories through the shared language of music.
