My music interests began with banjo and guitar, and progressed into playing in bands and as a duo, performing country and bluegrass. I became interested in the related genres of folk and mountain music and joined a society dedicated to performing and promoting that type of music, especially that in the public domain. I served as president of that society for two years.
I also joined our parish hand bell choir, playing the mass music and selected solos. It was there that I began composing my own pieces, being well accepted in the parish music ministry. I also made arrangements of many other sacred music selections. All these I have published on music sites for purchase.
There was a short period of time when my composing was paused, but I have been recently "re-engaged" and creating more. My writing style is to feel the music and compose the proper sound that feels just right for the thoughts that give me the ideas for my music.
