Mike Gerard Brown
Grand Rapids, MI
Mike Gerard Brown has been creating original music on electric guitar, acoustic guitar ,12 string guitar, piano and drums since around 1990.Also singing & writing lyrics, since 1990.He has copyrighted w/LOC (Library of Congress)in 2012 & is the holder of several songs in use today.
The song RNR[5] ,made in late 2020, ( 51% faithfully sounding instrumentaly and 91% vocally to the dream,in spite of no piano or pianos ) is a song from a dream in 2008.Elton John was playing the song on a Grand Piano & singing it, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,in the 2008 dream;by MGB.The submission to the LOC, of this song ,RNR ,was lost & destroyed & irridated for the LOC in 2012.It was resubmitted, as a copy, successfully in late 2012.
Stage dove [6] is a dream,Michael Gerard Brown had, in 2008.Layne Staley was performing the song on a stage.Layne,at some point in the song did what's called a stage dive. This song was successfully copyrighted,in the same submission attempts as RNR,in early 2012 & late 2012,by LOC.Stage dove[6] is 91% vocally faithfully sounding and 94% musically correct,of the dream song.
Surviving Cali was made in 2002.It was successfully copyrighted in 2012 along with Stage dove & RNR,etc. It was played on a portable DVD players speaker,in Grand Rapids Michigan ,at Swan Inn Hotel ,around early August time, 2020.It was determined by Michael Gerard Brown, then, around early August time 2020,that a variant of the songs established lyrics could be "Light it up like dynamite",in place of " I,I,I will survive " & sung then,in practice.
I heard that song,Dynamite, as a direct simularity, on a cell phone commercial ;around mid Oct. 2020.
The syllables are there.Other things are there.
These things will happen, from time to time.An important thing is to stay original as possible.Surviving Cali[7] is close to the 2012 copyright by: lyrically 99% and musically close; as it is with a bass guitar in 2020 & a cold electric guitar in 2012 (LOC).
A door,is from MGB. It was from my dream in 2008.Jim Morrison was singing it.I copyrighted the song in 2012.I sang this song & had the studio engineer put in the music,I would suggest,in & my vocals,of A door[2], in late Oct. 2020.
This song,A door[2], submitted here, is about 86%
of the way that I intend it to sound, as professionally produced,in comparison to my dream & copyrighted song from 2012.Rick on drums,as his idea 98% & Rick on guitar as his idea, for guitar sounds, at about 98%.
A door[12] is with a solo,added by Rick on guitar,as his idea,otherwise identical to A door[2] & A door.
The 4 songs, first submitted here,at TAXI,(Billys vocals),sound about 6% of the way I suggested, to the engineer, in Oct. 2020.I did not sit in on those 4 separate vocal sessions. The 6% is from only about 94% of my suggested lyrics being honored,in the vocal recordings,of the 4 previously submitted songs,to TAXI: RNR, RNR [2],Surviving Cali [#3] and Stage dove.
That's the way it is.That's the way it was.
A door [2] sounds about 96.2% close(to the way the song should've eventually turned out) as a studio session creation by MGB.
Suffice it to say ,Billy, the vocalist on the first 4 songs ,submitted to TAXI,was not invited to sing on A door[2], however, Billy perhaps stopped by in the recording session; at 2:30 pm,on Friday Oct 30th, since the session was from noon to 4:30 pm that day and Billy lives 80 yards away from the studio,in North Port Florida. The door slammed at 2:30 pm .It was perhaps Billy exiting out in an adjacent room to Rick, the engineers, studio at Paradox Recording Studio. We didnt see Billy. Just heard the door slam. I asked Rick," what was Billy doing here ?" Rick just said," No!No!" That was all Rick said ,as he went back to playing & experimenting on his guitar---Rick was trying to find a way to add an idea ---he,Rick,was just then working on,to add, to my dream song(of Jim Morrison singing)for A door[2].
People just also have ways of taking my songwork and transforming it more diversified songs, than before.
RNR [ 5 ] is MGB on bass, incorporated over another bass and MGB on vocals & on electric guitar. This version is about 93-94% accurate to the dream-song,I had, with Elton John playing the Grand Piano & I ,joining in mid-song to finnish up the last several seconds,on Baby Grand, for The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno.
Surviving Cali [ 4 ] is an ad song. Sounding 0%(zero) the way my original version sounds.
RNR [ 4 ] is an ad song. 0% ( Zero) sounding like the original dream version and RNR [4] is zero % (0 percent) like the 2012,LOC, copyrighted version
Mistaken is a song ,MGB made up in 1990.It is fashioned after real world scales produced on a guitar, similar to those found in music books of music shops. It has volcals. The song was originally called "Good Girls", way back in the day.MGB on electric guitar, for Mistaken, here submitted and played,in late 2020.Mistaken here is 90% sounding the way I played it,for all these years, (2012 LOC copyright included).
Sleep in,was a dream song from just a bit before 1990. It was re-dreamed,then,as can happen in my particular case. In this case the re-dream was around 1992.Originally played, in the dream,on acoustic guitar & played by fretting with the thumb and fingers,of the left hand, while string plucking with the right.WATCH OUT!!This song was well before Fred Bear. When I sped up the song,Sleep in ,by fast plucking,it resulted in Fred Bear,a year or two before the physical release of Fred Bear,by Ted Nugent. The meanings of the song, throughout Fred Bear are all established
before the actual release of Fred Bear to the public.Such things as" I had to decide which way to go" is quite simply a remark on if to return to the music that was played,as in bring back the familiarity, like the sounds made prior ;by about a minute or so,in the sped up version. Some may refer to the established part as a refrain etc. If not,if it is " too early, then", the" decide of which way to go " part , would be evidently to "carry on a bit further",with the song ; before entering into the familiar piece of music, already established. Sounds from Stranglehold, are heard in Fred Bears ending. This was a song to be given to Ted, as he could well manage the theft of Stranglehold for it.That part (of the ending of Fred Bear) is found in the middle of Stranglehold, when the guitar is frolicking ,like a solo.Other parts of the song are understood by a low number of people. Its curious to enter in here, that Ted played Fred Bear with the thumb.I saw it on a YouTube video,in about 2019.
It is further interesting to note:I copyrighted this song,Sleep in,in April 2012.When I submitted this song in 2012,it was met with loss & destruction----as they were looking for anthrax; for Washington D.C.'s LOC,(Library of Congress)by the DVD being irridated.I retained a DVD copy. Further interesting, I changed the old song title from"Playground song" to Sleep in,for the copyright submission of April,2012.I thought the song would go well as a commercial for a bed company.
Being from Grand Rapids,Michigan, (a furniture capitol---at one time)I wanted it to go to Art Van furniture company or Lay Z Boy or even Sealy Posterpedic or Sleep Number, with the Song Sleep in,in early February, 2012. It went to Sleep Number,in a flash hurry---before I could say so much as jump.I,Michael Gerard Brown, did not submit the song Sleep in to the Sleep Number commercial.Yet,if you listen close ,you may still hear the song(in the few months after copyrighting in April's 2012 )& quite some time AFTER the April,2012, copyrighted date mentioned. It's amusing to think...I found the song would not disturb you too much as you drifted off to sleep, as it was a dreamy, airy sound and I did claim it to be from a dream, quite rightly. Some attorneys contain "tin ears" for the songworks and nothing can be done but enjoy the theft of things. Much is made over it.Here,Sleep in is played on electric guitar & played by MGB.
Get there, was made by me,MGB, on about the same location and date as Surviving Cali, was. Then copyrighted, April ,2012.(LOC).Bass/vocals by MGB.
Frozen sky (3:00 ),here,is 90% close to the 1990 original version. Frozen sky was created by me in December 1990.Bass/vocals by MGB.
Rick just said on Monday November 9th,2020," Im glad TAXI is giving you advice now." Rick also kept repeating,to me ," You're spending a lot of money on these songs!"
If you watch the Little Ceasers Pizza commercial, Elton's look a like plays to a doorbell.I told Rick to play the 2 main notes, for A door,( two tone) almost like a doorbell, that on Oct.30th,to fix up that song. Rick just said on Monday November 9th,"Oh,I didnt finnish that(A door/ 2 notes.)?"Yet, I played the 2 notes on his guitar, last week as Rick recorded it.Done and ready soon.
Rick stated he worked with AC/DC,in the past.
Screener 419 states of RNR[5] :"Interesting offbeat vibe. There is a cool Sweet leaf vibe."
Rick made RNR [8] with my vocals. It sounds like that Ozzy Song.Rick was not told 419 referred to RNR as a "....Sweet leaf vibe."
Rick did have a pizza box, #497,in his studio fridge, from Little Ceasers, on Friday the 13th of November 2020.Billy then stuck his head inside the studio to talk with Rick about plans for thier band ,for just a few minutes & Ricks maid was at Paradox to clean ,both around the middle of my recording session, from noon to 5pm,Nov 13th 2020." Oh you guys are recording?!",Billy said."Yeah",said Rick.Rick was talking with his maid for a bit too & I said a few minutes later,"that's your maid here now, too?" Rick said, "Oh, she's here every Friday."
I think the doorbell commercial, for Little Ceasers is noteworthy. It may be a somewhat petty thing, too.Or not .
Stage Dove[6] is MGB on Bass & vocals.S D [6] is 97% in sounding like my dream, while sleeping.
Surviving Cali [7] is MGB on Bass & on vocals.S C [7] is 95% sounding correct,to me.
