Matt Kemp is an artist, a musician, writer, performer, actor, voice actor, studio rat, music theory guy, teacher, band leader, stagehand, business owner, and absolutely a dog person. He actively writes and performs with Punky Bluester, a high energy and fun sort of blues-punk that is unique and compels audiences to pay all their attention...as well as Grandad's Whiskey, a feel-good-red-dirt sound that is the rarest of red dirt. This guy is authentic as they come, he really lives it. and his perseverance may be his biggest strength. i mean, this guy just doesn't quit or give up on his goals, which are mostly music-related. He's well-liked, writes good songs, and performs his heart out. i mean, what else do you need? His focus in recent years has been on his songwriting and in 2025 doubling down on his efforts in Taxi and sync licensing. having recieved his first Taxi forward in march of 25 after TK returns.

Matthew Kemp is a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Oklahoma City known for his long-running creative partnership with vocalist Jayson Camero. Together, the two have developed a distinctive sound built on Matthew’s melodic songwriting and Jayson’s powerful, emotive delivery. Their first project, Dita’s Tears (2013), introduced their blend of raw storytelling and atmospheric rock. A decade later, they reunited for Punky Bluester (2024), expanding the palette with heavier guitars, sharper hooks, and a more evolved sense of dynamics. Matthew writes the songs; Jayson makes them soar — and the work they create together continues to push each other into new territory.
