Necati Ozmucur

I was born in New York and raised in Istanbul. My journey began with basic keyboard lessons at age 9, followed by classical guitar at Istanbul Conservatory. As a teenager I eventually left the conservatory and got fully immersed in the local underground punk scene.

My family moved to Pennsylvania when I was in high school. I continued at Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, while also teaching guitar lessons, doing sound and recording bands before heading to Berklee College of Music where I earned my degree in Songwriting.

I was one of the founders of the experimental free jazz and noise rock band DieSlow and Rot. We played around Boston until I moved out to California to join the industrial band Wax Sound. My passion continues to be experimental noise and alternative genres.

While I would describe myself as prolific, checking out the impressive amount of listings on this site and writing based on strict guidelines is a new challenge for me, but I'm excited for opportunities to possibly bring some of my music to screens big and small.
