My name is Elna Myburg.
I am a composer and professional pianist and I love to write in many different genres. I've started my Taxi journey with Solo Jazz piano and got several placements in TV and Film. I've since branched out in orchestral, electronic, world, ambient and more and still love to use my acoustic grand piano as my foundation. I've had many tracks licensed with libraries in the past year through Taxi and I'm currently working on several albums for music libraries in the US and abroad. I work from my Kingwood studio in Houston, Texas. I also run an independent piano teaching studio.
I received my classical training from the Music Conservatory of the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, where I obtained a Bachelors degree in music. I also have a Honors Degree in Musicology from the University of South Africa. Since moving to the United States in 1998 I continued my music education in Jazz.
I am a member of the American society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
