Paul Sanges
Gloversville, New York
Paul Sanges is a songwriter, composer and arranger from upstate New York. After hearing endless AM pop radio as a child, his road along a musical career began once he heard Tales Of Mystery And Imagination by The Alan Parsons Project. Realizing there was so much more to music, he started a lifelong journey in pursuit of connecting with the art form. An appreciation for the recordings of Rupert Hine, and Alan Parsons drove him to examine how they were constructed. A classically trained composer, Paul studied at The State University at Albany with Joel Chadabe and Max Lifchitz. He has written for small ensembles, concert band, choir, drum corps, jazz ensembles and more. His true passion however is songwriting. Paul’s smart imaginative lyrics and eloquent music can create artful allusions or expose every day struggles. Equally adept at quirky observations and personal heartache, his music evokes wonderment, contemplation and reflection on reality.
