Cynthia S Emmets

In 1992, Cynthia wrote the lyrics to her first song, "There's Lightnin' In These Thunder Thighs". It was recorded soon after by Sapphire, the Uppity Blues Women, and released on Alligator Records. Since then, she has spent most of her time collaborating with other songwriters to create country, blues, Christian and pop songs. Like many artists, costs for writing and producing those songs forced her to take a 9 to 7 p.m. job for a number of years as a Marketing executive, interrupting her true passion of writing songs. All of her songs are upbeat, predominately with the theme that life, no matter how difficult, always turns out for the best. Some of them about love and romance, are written from a woman's point of view. Cynthia is always searching for collaborators to join her in creating music that carries the message that life is good.
