Brother Truman

Truman “Brother Truman” Kendrick is a Christ follower, son, husband, father, and a lover of verbal expression. From his early days in his native Jersey City, NJ, reciting nursery rhymes as a toddler, he has shown a love for rhyme and syncopation. This is evident in his writing and music production today which is used to express words of encouragement, inspiration, social awareness, and most importantly, his love for God and the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as in his music in with his tracks that range from head nodding, to toe tapping, to relaxing vibes. Spanning various genres and not just hip hop, this music is created to invite you into the versatility that is in the mind of Brother Truman. After having ministered at numerous church services, Brother Truman has put his words to music and released a single entitled “Shifting” which speaks to the movement that is made when your life is given to Christ. The next single released "Sign of the Times" which speaks to the state of current social events and injustices, the need for maximizing the time we have and the need to get right with God. Followed by "Running Laps" which addresses our feelings of not being able to get ahead, but ultimately realizing that God is with us through it all. Whether speaking, preaching, rapping, producing tracks under Truck 3 Productions, or just living, Brother Truman seeks to create a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere, and be a positive example of a Godly man living in today’s society.
