John Licitra is a mild-mannered college professor by day, and an aspiring recording artist by night. He has played and recorded with numerous bands and musicians, and now hopes to work on his own projects. With his debut of new music, John hopes to appeal to a wide diverse audience; from easy listening, to jazz, pop and rock.

His approach is simply music, no artificial colors or sweeteners. “I made an effort to not rely on elaborate recording software, drum loops or even fruit loops!” John Laughs. “Every track sounds fresh, like a live recording, and ready to fit any genre and project."

Interestingly, John plays and records all the instruments himself, and vocals if needed. "Despite the magic of recording software, that can easily improve anyone's music, I still prefer the basic eight track approach. With an eight track, there's nowhere to hide or mask your mistakes. No bells and whistles." John explains.

Aside from music, John also has a passion for education and helping students. He is a two-time Teacher of the Year Award recipient and recognized by congressional and senatorial certificates of achievement. He is also recognized by the California Department of Education, among others. John holds several advanced degrees, including a doctorate in Education & Psychology.
