Deborah Ellis Suarez

Deborah Ellis Suarez has been writing music from a young age. With a Master of Music degree in Music Composition and another year of graduate studies at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Film Music Composition, she learned technical skills that she has used to get piano pieces published by Willis Music and to write an album of Christian songs in Spanish that has been performed in five Latin American countries as well as the US. Her love has always been orchestration and instrumental music, however, and that is her current focus. Her last project was a piano album of calm, soothing music. She is affiliated with ASCAP.

Deborah spent twenty four years teaching for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and now teaches privately. She loves sharing her music with young people, and she often writes pieces for her students and with her students. It gives her joy to find students who are talented in composing music and start training them in the craft.
