Michael Dekkers

Michael Dekkers has spent most of his life on the west coast of Canada. For the most part, he’s been a “9 to 5 office guy” but has enjoyed several stints as a pro musician over the years.

Songwriting has been an interest of Michael’s since adolescence but interest turned to passion following a trip to Nashville in the early ‘90’s. Since then, Michael's songs have been recorded by regional artists in the Country, World and Contemporary Christian genres. His music has aired on national networks including OWN and National Geographic and has been featured in several commercial ads.

Michael is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, focusing mainly on guitar and percussion. He enjoys digital home recording and finds the opportunities provided by having a home-based studio creatively energizing.
