Paul Hope/The Project

The Project - Paul Hope on guitar, piano and vocals. I write all of our material. Most of the tracks, but not all, are fairly gentle in nature and based on the location in which I live, and the human state (otherwise known as love) and a mixture of personal experiences both here and abroad. Originally involved a with a Genesis tribute band, (Peter Gabriel era) back in the 90's, and then started writing my own stuff about 2007/8. Have since recorded 5 albums and working on the 6th. Lots of material sitting around doing nothing in particular, apart from the occasional play by some body in Germany! I live in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland and find endless inspiration from my surroundings. In terms of musical influences, Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens, Paul Simon, Dave Gilmour and Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree). Despite being nearly 60 years of age, time has not diminished my love for music, or the bands of the 70's that I love so much, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Rush, to name but a few. If you are looking for gentle music with reflective lyrics, I am sure you will find plenty to enjoy in my music.
