Rob Zicaro Biography

Rob Zicaro is a songwriter from Worcester Massachusetts. As a songwriter Rob’s catchy hooks and melodies, along with solid rhythm sections and professional productions, make it easy to get into his radio ready songs and writing style. Influenced by Pop, Rock, R&B, and Country Pop, Rob’s melodies along with his lyrics tell stories that can easily become your personal soundtrack and play list. Rob’s story is an interesting one. During the seventies the music scene in New England launched iconic bands such as The J. Geils Band and Aerosmith. It also gave rise to The Joneses and Mad Angel, two bands that made a name for themselves in the New England rock scene opening for J. Geils and Aerosmith. The Joneses released two singles: Baby and Hey Girl, while Mad Angel released Sweet Sleep Sleep Sweet, and Can't Run Can’t Hide. As the drummer for The Joneses and Mad Angel, Rob became a driving force in the success of these bands. Both band’s musical influence was felt throughout New England and I still felt to this day as witnessed by the 1500 fans that came out to their 2014 reunion concert at The Hanover Theater in Worcester Ma.
