Pekka Huovinen

It all started with drums when I was 14. It was just me and my friend playing a bunch of Nirvana covers in my parents garage room. Ever since those first experiences in a band I've only wanted to make new original stuff. The magic of putting several musical elements together to make a song never gets old.

In my years at the University of Lappland I ventured into recording and soon I was the guy producing all the local bands demos. Meanwhile my own band won the local band competition and we got a spot on a festival. I would learn to sing and play bass which I fell in love with. My recording gear and mic locker would see updates every chance I'd get. When I felt stuck I acquired a synth, a sampler and a drum machine and started to make electronic music.

Then in 2017 we moved to a new house with my family and it had a perfect garage for a studio. Now I'm producing my own stuff from that garage and my collection of instruments, microphones and other recording equipment is such that I can make pretty much everything I want. But I've never figured out how to make a living with music. It's always been a hobby that starves my bank account and not the other way around. I hope with Taxi I can change that.

Now in April of 2025 I'm a total noobie when it comes to making sync perfect music but the goal will get closer even with baby steps.
