Jim Pietkivitch

Instrumental artist Jim Pietkivitch emerged in the mid 1990’s composing instrumental music. His debut album Twilight Dreams was released in 1995 on Ivory Moon Recordings label. In 1998, he released Spiral Journey on his Electrofine Music label. Both albums feature guitarist Matt DePasqua on tracks Cyber-Dream and Crossing the Line. In 2004, Jim released Inner Worlds which features concert flute performed by his wife Melanie Pietkivitch on Skyward and vocals on Peaceful Valley. All three albums received national distribution and airplay. Invasion (EP) and Center of Your Soul (single) released in 2022 feature Jim's drumming and lyrics & vocals by his wife on Center of Your Soul. Morrow, his latest release is in collaboration with composer and guitarist Steve Hysjulien.

Jim began with oboe at age 10 performing in school orchestras through middle school. Interested in piano, he took lessons before switching to drums at age 15. Quickly developing with lessons from nationally known jazz drummer, Joe Pulice and with persistence earned him a spot playing for his high school jazz and horn ensembles which released a jazz album in 1981. Jim Pietkivitch continued playing drums in local rock and progressive rock bands but his desire to write pushed him further in his music career. In 1989, he began acquiring synthesizers while developing as a writer, sound creator, and producer to publish his own music in his home studio. Jim is currently writing music for his next album.
