"Central Virginia’s own heavy rock powerhouse, Four Thirty Four, is set to unleash a series of explosive new music singles through the end of 2025, beginning with their latest release, “Dope Bag.” Formed in 2019, the band has launched several singles and an EP over the years, consistently building on their sound, production style, and stage presence with each consecutive release. Their resume is quite impressive so far, with their previous tracks reaching #26 on the SMR FM charts, as well as achieving a #1 release on digital / internet charts.
Now the group has matured into an arena-rock-level cinematic style that hearkens back to music when the singer and guitar player were intrinsically linked to the sound of the band, where their bond defined the band's essence. When the rhythm section was so massive that it shook the car when played loudly. And when playing it loud was the only option, because head-shaking, speaker-rattling, earth-quaking heaviness was the sound of the day. If you miss the best moments of early Aerosmith, The Cult, Alice In Chains, or System of a Down, you've come to the right place... with a little bit of the punk roots of The Dead Kennedys and the theatrical productions of Meatloaf thrown in for good measure, along with music that feels like the soundtrack to an apocalyptic Mad Max chase scene.
No fads, no gimmicks, no trends... just pure heavy rock, written and performed by a band who live what they preach, and who have the chops to pull it off on a huge stage. This bad-boy, massive-sounding rock music has been missing for the last two decades, but if Four Thirty Four has anything to say about it, it's coming back with a vengeance. Check out "Dope Bag" for a glimpse of the sonic onslaught that's coming next from this electrifying new band.
The players in this high-powered, blue-collared quartet: Mike Vernon (vocals), Scott Jordan (guitar), Craig Coyner (bass), and Greg Baker (drums). The new singles were produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Kevin McNoldy (Dave Matthews Band, Backstreet Boys / Howie D, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Seven Mary Three, and thousands of others), with additional engineering by Russell Bartley. Currently performing throughout the Southeast and expanding their reach as their grassroots fanbase grows, Four Thirty Four is rapidly earning a reputation for their must-see live events."
