PEI born and raised singer songwriter Craig Cormier grew up with the influences of pop, folk and maritime music around the home. Soon after picking up the guitar at age 13, he began to start songwriting. He has continued to expand his repertoire as a multi-instrumentalist which now includes fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, lap steel, and bass. After spending his formative years living in the Maritimes and playing with a number of bands in Charlottetown, Fredericton and Halifax, he moved away for a career in Ottawa but always held onto his Maritime roots while seeking out other influences across a wide spectrum of music including jazz, classical, and bluegrass. He has performed with various groups across Eastern Canada for over 30 years and is currently the lead vocalist and bassist for the Ottawa-based rock trio band Waterbömber. After years of writing and recording numerous songs, he has just finished recording and producing his first solo album "Bodega Cats" which is a blend of folk, jazz, and blues.
He continues to work on several musical projects in numerous genres, most notably with the group Waterbömber, to record and produce their first album.
Craig currently lives in Ottawa with his wife and two sons.
