Abhi Ananda

Abhi Ananda is an Indonesian-born singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and composer based in Los Angeles. He began his musical journey in Indonesia, performing locally and in Singapore, before moving to the United States in 2016. His international career took shape in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, where he emerged as a distinctive singer-songwriter before relocating to Los Angeles in 2018.

In 2023, Ananda released two full-length albums worldwide: his debut singer-songwriter record Exulansis, followed by Melophile, an instrumental album that expanded his creative palette. In 2025, he released Euthymia, his third album, marking a return to his singer-songwriter roots. His music has since reached listeners across the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Known for his melodic sensibility, adventurous arrangements, and hands-on DIY production approach, Ananda moves fluidly between genres while maintaining a strong emotional core.

Ananda is also actively involved in the sync and film music world as a composer, creating instrumental music for film, television, and visual media. His compositions often blend cinematic atmospheres with memorable melodic themes.

In 2024, he launched his band project Almost Citizen and is currently working on material for their debut album. Notably, Ananda remains independent from major social media platforms, choosing instead to focus on long-form artistry, creative integrity, and meaningful listener connection.
