Brent Isom

Based out of northwest Missouri, Brent Isom is a composer, performing artist, and private instructor. He specializes in writing production music for film and TV, and has signed music with a number of production music libraries. His compositions—ranging from epic trailers to dramedy—have been heard on ABC and Netflix.

He holds a Bachelor of Music with a music technology concentration from Missouri Western State University, where he studied classical guitar, jazz, voice, and composition. His continued education has included lessons in jazz improvisation, singing commercial music, and workshops for music production.

As well as a composer, Brent is an active performer and teacher. He gives frequent performances as a solo artist and with his jazz trio, and plays guitar regularly for several regional acts. His combined education and experience has made him versatile across many styles. He has over a decade of experience teaching private lessons and is currently a guitar and voice instructor at the St. Joseph Arts Academy in St. Joseph, MO. Brent serves as worship leader for New Harvest Baptist Church in Agency, MO. ​He is also the worship leader for St. Joseph Christian School and oversees the students of the chapel worship team as they rehearse and lead worship.
