Ave Topel

I joined TAXI in August 2010, to take advantage of the educational and collaborative opportunities TAXI offers in terms of commercial songcraft, and to take my music to the next level.
Contrary to specializing in one genre, Music Publishers tell me my strength is writing in many styles.

Bringing decades of musical muscle memory to the table, Avrim "Ave" Topel is an eclectic songwriter, musician, and performing songwriter comfortable working in most genres and styles, ranging from having Hip Hop and Jazz placements on syndicated network TV shows to recently landing a #3 Contemporary Bluegrass song on the national American Roots Music Report charts.

Ave is also passionate about Country music with multiple cuts by various artists.
Recent accomplishments include:
- GSC Lorna Flowers Community Ambassador Award
- Two time Top Four Finalist in John Lennon Songwriting Contest
- American Roots Music Chart #3 song in January, 2025
- Multiple Country Artist cuts and Sync placements

Over the years, Ave has established a wide network of artists, producers, and co-writers in Nashville and elsewhere that he works with on a regular basis. Through perseverance and professionalism, many Music Publishers in both Nashville and LA have given Ave "open doors" to send his songs to. While half of Ave's catalogue consists of solo written songs, Ave is known as a good hang who brings positivity and fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to the cowriting rooms wherever he winds up.

Ave's goal is to continue to work as a Publisher's partner and be a money maker and not a time taker.
