Abhi Ananda

Abhi Ananda is an Indonesian-born singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and composer. He started his musical journey in Indonesia and performed occasionally in Singapore before moving to the United States in 2016. Ananda launched his international career in Twin Cities, Minnesota where he made his name as an emerging singer-songwriter. In 2018, he moved to Los Angeles where he resides until now. Ananda is one of a very few musical artists who doesn't have any profiles on major social media platforms. He believes that having social media will make it difficult for artists to be authentic and true to themselves.

In 2023, Ananda officially released his music worldwide with, not just one, but two full albums. After his debut singer-songwriter album Exulansis, he expanded his catalog in instrumental music by releasing his 2nd album Melophile. These albums and few other single releases have earned him a consistent fan base, not just in the U.S., but also in Europe, Australia, and South East Asia. He is notably praised by the audiences for his straight-forward but hooky melodic lines, adventurous arrangement, DIY approach in production, and versatility to write in various genres or styles.

Ananda launched his band project, Almost Citizen , in 2024. He’s currently working on materials for their first album.
