Jeffrey Collins

Born in the east end of London on the 13th March 1950. In 1956 I heard for the first time Elvis Presley singing "HEARTBREAK HOTEL" Even at that young age I couldn't
believe what I heard . I made up my mind " this is what I want to do "
The years rolled on, I learnt the guitar and sang publicly wherever I could in the U K and Europe . Made a couple of records on the R C A label after visiting them in New York (1970) Sadly nothing happened , carried on singing in clubs etc:
In 1971 I was signed to polydor records . Recorded one of my all time favourite songs "ONLY YOU" Originally, was a hit for the fabulous PLATTERS . To my delight it charted in the UK and was in the charts for 8weeks at number 40 (I wrote the B side) My career came to an end in 1975 got married and tried to live a normal life without music . That didn't happen. I carried on writing had a 5 year contract with "Independence music " Expired this year August 2025.
I saw on Taxi a client of yours was looking for Country songs ,so I took the plunge and thought I would send or submit a couple songs I had written . Country is one of my favourite styles of music
