The Sea Monks blend a wide range of musical influences, from western swing to punk rock, into their own brand of swampy-tonk country. The band plays an average of 100 gigs per year around their Southern California home and on tours around the United States. The Sea Monks have played several festivals, such as the mainstage at Gator by the Bay, and they have played several nights at nationally recognized venues, such as Austin's Continental Club and San Diego's Belly Up. They have shared the stage with artists such as Dale Watson, Jimmie Vaughan, The Beat Farmers, Kimmi Bitter and more. They have released three albums, two of which were nominated for Best Country/Americana Album in the San Diego Music Awards in 2022 and 2025.
