Alfred Lloyd

Alfred Lloyd is a musician with a mission. Born in Manchester, Jamaica, he was heavily influenced by the sounds of Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, and Gregory Isaacs during his formative years. An American with Jamaican roots now living in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, his music naturally infuses diverse cultures and styles to send a message to the world.
Alfred's musical career began in 1989 when his first published song, "Unconditionally," was recorded by Deborah Glasgow for Gussie Clarke. However, it wasn't until he met master engineer Osborne 'Ifield' Joseph that Alfred found his footing and began producing high-quality material that he writes and performs himself.
Alfred’s never-say-die attitude and steadfast belief in his individuality has pushed him forward, overcoming many obstacles on his journey as a musician. His music is deeply rooted in his faith and his concern for the oppressed. He has expressed dismay over religious leaders who take advantage of the masses, and instead hopes to be "The Voice of the Oppressed", a true listener and leader for his fans.
Some of Alfred’s recent track releases include "Mama" and "Let's Talk", meaningful tracks that are centered on important relationships. "Mama" is a heartfelt tribute to his mother, while "Let's Talk" is a song that captures the essence of how to resolve issues in relationships. Alfred’s latest single, "Jah, Jah Jehovah," has already received positive acclaim from fans, as the soul of the track speaks to them on a personal level.
