Greetings,

My name is Christelle, I am a songwriter based in London, United Kingdom.

I started started songwriting in 2020, during the first covid lockdown, and I am proud to have written a varied collection of pop songs infused with hip hop, jazz, and soul since then.

My ambition is to have my music recorded by emerging or established artists and here's a little bit about my music background:

Below some rough and less rough recordings from my catalogue, I hope you enjoy listening to these songs as much as I enjoyed making them.

Below some additional info for you perusal:

• Inspiration:
  Where to begin... having spent my younger years in France in the 90's, I was immersed in hip hop and R&B. At home my dad made sure my sisters and I were inspired by Caribbean music + in his own words by Mr Otis Redding. These days I make sure to listen to a wide range of sounds, and to be present in the world where inspiration awaits.

• Music theory:
  I have a solid grasp of music theory, which enables me to communicate effectively with musicians.

• Instruments:
  My instrument of choice for composing is the piano. I also play the ukulele, badly, for fun and on holiday.

• Lyrics:
  Most of the lyrics I write are about: life, love and loss, primarily from a female perspective, with one notable exception.

• Vocals:
  I demo vocals myself, except for rap sections. My songs would suit a voice that is powerful, and raspy on the edges.

• Production:
  I am able to confidently produce songs at home with Logic, to give artists an idea of what the songs may sound like. I work with a producer for mixing.

• Documentation:
  I am in the process of documenting all my songs with: a music chart, a lyric sheet, a rough recording, and a Logic file, so that they are ready to go!

• Social media:
  With a full time job in a global advertising agency, I have limited time and keep posting to social media to a minimum, but I have made a start on Instagram (work in progress): https://www.instagram.com/christellesongwriterlondon/

• Repertoire:
  All the material I have created has never been released, and is available as first pick, for an artist to develop. As an add-on, I am in the process of developing my network of London-based musicians for any potential collaborations required on my songs.
