He began playing classical guitar as a boy and perfected his studies with Maestro Giovanni Viola, a teacher at the Morlacchi Conservatory in Perugia.
In 2005, he founded the group Hot Club Roma, born from the meeting of several musicians passionate about the music of the great Belgian composer and performer Django Reinhardt.
The group worked on its first project and performed at Rome's most prestigious venues and various Italian festivals. This project led to the release of their first CD, "Swing From Rome," published by Wide Sound Records.

The film's soundtrack won an award for best Italian film soundtrack of the year in 2009.
In the summer of 2008, the duo participated in the Acri (Cs) Festival dedicated to Manouche music, where they performed on stage in two concerts, the first with the Dario Pinelli Quartet and the second with Manouche guitarist Angelo Debarre", undoubtedly one of the finest Gypsy Jazz musicians, Luca Mannutza on piano, Dario Pinelli and Walter Clerici on guitar.

"Django Mon Amour" In December 2010, Hot Club Roma released the second CD born from a new project, in collaboration with violinist Tim Kliphuis, one of the most respected in Europe and the world.
The project retraces the path paved by Django Reinhardt, with typical pieces from the great Belgian musician's repertoire, Italian folk music, and some previously unreleased songs.
The musicians participating in the project: Moreno Viglione (lead guitar), Gianfranco Malorgio (rhythm guitar), Marco Loddo (double bass), featuring: Tim Kliphuis (violin), Emanuele Rastelli accordion.
The recordings were made during the Tim Kliphuis & Hot Club Roma concert, held on August 3, 2010, at the "Villa Sarsina Gypsy Jazz Fest" festival in Anzio, Rome.
In 2010, as Artistic Director, in collaboration with Rodolfo Tucci of the MusicAnzio Association, with the support and patronage of the Municipality of Anzio - Rome, he organized the "VILLA SARSINA GYPSY JAZZ FEST," a festival dedicated to gypsy jazz and more.
In 2012, a meeting with actor Giorgio Tirabassi, also a great fan of Django's music, marked a turning point for Hot Club Roma.
Gianfranco Malorgio proposed to Giorgio Tirabassi to stage Django's life in a show where, in addition to playing the guitar, he recounts the most important moments, anecdotes, and tragedies that characterized the life of this great musician – entitled "Django Reinhardt, the Three-Legged Lightning" Fingers,” subsequently performed at various theaters and festivals.
London - Again with Tirabassi, HCR played a quintet in London on two dates in January 2015 and 2016 at the famous Django venue, “Le Quecumbar.” The lineup consisted of Giorgio Tirabassi, Moreno Viglione, Gianfranco Malorgio, Gian Piero Lo Piccolo, and Renato Gattone.
They also appeared as a quintet with Tirabassi on radio programs: Rai Radio2 StaiSerena; Radio Rock Roma; and were guests on Webnotte Repubblica TV for two editions.
Today, the project with Giorgio Tirabassi, “Django Reinhardt, the Three-Finger Lightning,” is still active and is performed at Italian theaters and festivals.
Django Reinhardt began his career as a composer during the latter years, working on pieces primarily intended for synchronization, making them suitable for listening to films, soundtracks, etc.
