I am a retired Civil servant and have been writing songs on and off for about 40 years. I was educated in the Orkney Islands and later
sought work in East Kilbride near Glasgow.
Rather than sitting down to compose songs, they seemed, in a way, to come to me naturally.
It was only much later I took songwriting more seriously. The onset of Covid made me return to my songwriting to convey the deep
trauma suffered by hospital workers and the public alike. The song was 'So many tears'. The original lyrics can be found on the Taxi website under
Lyric Lovers. A shorter version was released soon after. ( Taxi songs)

Later a demo version of 'Why should I' was recorded as an R&B song by Backroom Gossip. This agency, Taxi, put this song forward to Labrador Entertainment
for review.
I am at presently working on a new song to be recorded by Backroom Gossip
