Eric Lewis has been writing and recording music under the artist name FYOG (For Your Own Good) since 2019. Currently living in Morgantown, WV, he is the son of a nurse (Mary Jane Lewis) and a truck driver (Frank Edward Lewis), Eric was born at the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV in 1972. When he was three, his family moved from the small, unincorporated, town of McWhorter, WV to Clarksburg. He attended Linden grade school where he started taking an interest in music through voice, cello and trombone.
After graduating Washington Irving High School in 1990, he attended West Virginia University, where he was an active player in the local music scene. After graduating with a B.S. in Geology in 1995, he reconnected with some of his college band mates in Baltimore, MD. In the five years that Once Hush was together, they released three albums independently while touring the east coast and mid-west of America. Some of their music can be heard on MTV's "Real World" and "Road Rules" After they disbanded in 2000, Eric went on to release four solo albums.
He currently performs 40-60 dates per year in West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania as an acoustic artist and with his 80's tribute band, 80's Enough. Eric has recently signed songs with Crucial, Sus3, and Washington St. Publishing.
