I'm a singer/songwriter and pianist. My signature style is to pack an emotional wallop, lingering on your mind long after the music has ended. I'm also a married Mom of 3, working by day and writing songs by night. For most of my life music was not the path I chose, but in 2008 it chose me. I was drawn back to the piano to help deal with a personal tragedy. In it lay a blessing..... the self-discovery that I had a knack for writing, a voice I didn't know I had, and a desire to do something more with my gifts. Why tell you all that? Because it's proof positive that it's never too late to discover your passion, pursue it, and be all that you want to be. I see my career focused on writing for other recording artists, but I'm exploring all opportunities. I'll be content to stay "behind the scenes" writing, but I have a strong desire to get myself out there and my songs heard. So I decided to release a few of my more personal favorites online with me singing them, and I may release more.
I'm trying to get heard any way I can, through having other singers perform my material, releasing some on my own, networking, collaborating, and following that voice inside my head that tells me to just try. It's not easy breaking into the music industry, and I so appreciate all those supporting my "grass roots" efforts and unconventional methods. Should I never be "discovered" or become the well-known songwriter to the stars that I intend to, I just love making music anyway..... just for me. But if others like it too, that makes me happier still. My journey is my reward.
