Bob Carr

Bob Carr, native of Orlando, FL, and seasonal citizen of Little Switzerland, NC, has been a professional entertainer since 1974. As part of the Gainesville-based folk-rock trio, Brouhaha, he opened for both Jimmy Buffett and the Outlaws at UF, as well as for Dr. Hook off campus. The band also toured in Florida and Georgia. Fan and friend of Florida legend Gamble Rogers, Bob developed a personal on-stage style that remains his trademark today.

On his return to Orlando, Bob entertained in duos in the Disney hotels and as a single at Winter Park watering holes. In 1980, he began what was to be a stint of more than 20 years putting together theme-party bands and taking them to convention venues and country clubs not only in Central Florida, but also as far north as Sea Island and as far south as Key Largo. Bob has also appeared as a single poolside and at restaurants and bars along International Drive in the tourist zone, as well as many more down-home evenings at neighborhood spots in Orlando.

More recently, Bob (on guitar) has performed with his partner in life, DeAnn Carr (on percussion), at acoustic music venues in Spruce Pine, Linville Falls, and Micaville in North Carolina. As “Blue Yonder”, Bob and Dee treat their audience to a personable, good-humored and musically skilled performance. In 2024, Bob released an album of original songs which may be found on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming services under Bob Carr, Old Guy With Guitar.
