Monique Olomidun AKA "Lena Mae"was born 8/17/65 in Brooklyn, New York to a West Indian mom and Mississippi Southern dad. Relocating to the Richmond, VA area as a young adult. She started singing in church & school choirs and began writing lyrics in high school and have pursued her musical career singing background for various artists Ban Caribe, Burning Fire, Wildfire and the Awareness Art Ensemble performing at venues like The National RVA and Broadberry Richmond, VA. She has done shows at festivals such as "The Down home Family Festival, Brown's Island Musical Festival and 2Street Festival. Recorded with various artists such as Sir Jonathan Burton & Awareness Art Ensemble. She has written for various artists and is a published author & session singer. Her current project is a mixture of soul, R&B/hip and southern soul where she is the lead singer and writer.
