Hi I'm James
I first started writing songs in and started performing 'live'in 1976 in a Duo called 'Morgan James sound' singing with partner and playing lead guitar. We performed in bars, Social clubs, Holiday venues, playing MOR music, I went Solo as Jim Worton in 1979, performing mainly in the East of Britain and similar venues mentioned, then in 1996 I was asked to join a successful Country Rock band called Nashville Fever(later just Fever) as lead singer/acoustic guitarist, the band were asked to record their own material for an album in Waco Texas and performed live gigs there back in the early 90's
I went Solo on the Country circuit after Band disbanded, In 2017 I was joined by my wife Carole at gigs singing harmonies and percussion.
I had continued writing my own material throughout the 70's till present day, making rough demos on a tape in the early days.
Being out on the road regularly, I didn't have the time or the facilities back then to record them.
Then we decided to cut back from gigging as it was getting harder loading gear, unloading etc (no luxury of roadies!) but this gave me the opportunity to record all the songs from over the years and concentrate on new material, I'd been toying with the idea of joining Taxi, but needed to have a quite a few songs ready to send if the appropriate listing came up. So I took the plunge and joined in Jan '25
Now I have a home studio, I can record all my material which is varied in Genre's, I produce everything on the tracks, I play all instruments, vocals and mixing.
I still have the belief I have something to offer, never give up, whatever happens, I'm still 30 in my brain!
