CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY HITS with Male Vocals are needed by a well-respected and hardworking Nashville Music Publisher for an Award-winning Country SUPERSTAR working on a brand new record. They want radio-worthy, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that would instantly appeal to the fans of artists like Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, etc., etc., etc. Quoting the source: "Original, unique, and remarkable storylines. But not something that's too 'out there' to be a big time radio smash. No bro-country, and no melodies that sound like the same old, same old. This is for one of Country's true 'Superstars', so there's no room for error. Give me something that an artist who's had 10+ years of smash hits would knock down walls to record. Engage me through the entire song, to where I'm not ready to turn it off after the first verse and chorus. We're talking the absolute cream of the crop tunes, the ones you'd bet your life on." Please submit one-of-a kind songs that sound like a true radio hit, with fresh melodies, hooks, and a killer Country chorus that leaves the audience wanting more. Your demo quality needs to be competitive with songs being pitched on the Row. The specific deal points will be negotiated on a song-by-song basis directly with the Publisher. Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Publisher and must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. TAXI #S150909CH

NEW LISTING -- CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY SONGS with Male Vocals are needed by a well-respected Nashville Music Publisher for a Chart-Topping, Multi-Platinum Country Superstar who’s working on a brand new record. They want radio-worthy, well-crafted, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that would instantly appeal to the fans of Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Chris Janson, etc., etc., etc. Please review the following song references he gave us to get a general idea of the originality and general type of songs he needs:

“Tattoos On This Town” by Jason Aldean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU-zks4FRlI

“Talladega” by Eric Church: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rek_Cxrc1pE

“Buy Me A Boat” by Chris Janson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQPjKSVe1tQ

Quoting the source: “The referenced songs are not only huge hits, but they’re also one of a kind storylines that haven't really been told before. I need a song that one of the top artists in the genre would be fired up to cut, something other than plain vanilla. It can have a bit of an edge, but not so much that it's no longer Country. No ‘Bro Country,’ No Pop Country! But not too traditional either. Contemporary Country with a slight rock edge will work great for this guy. And please, no melodies that I can sing five other songs to. ORIGINALITY, while still being marketable will get you far. If you've heard it in another song, it won't work here.”

Give him well-structured Hit Songs that are obviously exceptional, with fresh, modern melodies, attention-grabbing hooks, and a direct, visual, and engaging storyline that Nashville hasn’t heard yet. Your chorus needs to be incredibly strong, memorable, and ready for radio. You’d be smart to have a super confident vocal performance on your recording to get the Publisher and Artist excited about cutting your song. Your demo quality needs to be competitive with songs being pitched on the Row. If you’ve got a one-of-a-kind hit, you need this guy to hear it, because he really gets out there and hustles!

The specific deal points will be negotiated on a song-by-song basis directly with the Publisher. Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Publisher - No full critiques. NEW LISTING -- CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY/POP SONGS with Female Vocals are needed by a hard-working Nashville-based Music Publisher for a Multi-Platinum Country SUPERSTAR working on a brand new record. They need great Songs in All-Tempos that could be found on the same playlist as great artists like Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Reba McEntire, etc., etc., etc. Quoting the source: "She has a great voice and is looking for contemporary Country songs with current, compelling melodies that can showcase her stellar vocals and deliver another memorable radio hit. Melodies need to be competitive with what's currently playing on Country radio, and feature B-I-G, driving, stand-alone hit choruses. Limit verses to 2 or 3 max, and note that tightly structured A-B-A-B-C-B songs are preferred. Capture the industry's attention with an undeniable, unique, distinctive, title/hook that will help your song stand out above the clutter. Lyrics for this artist need to present fresh, uplifting lyrical perspectives and themes about everyday life experiences that are reflective of a mature woman in her 40's. Lyrics should be very visual, unique, conversational, direct, emotional and dramatic. While the artist isn't in her 20's, she's beautiful, youthful and energetic, and you'll want to avoid pitching first person lyrics that are too biographically specific, as she's looking for songs she can honestly relate to and credibly convey to her fans. Themes of hope, encouragement, love, overcoming difficulties, family life, and compelling story songs with visual lyrics are best." Great quote, right? Couldn't have said it better ourselves! This artist is working with some of the best songwriters in Nashville, so pitch your very best! The bar might be high, but look at it this way: if you land a cut with this artist, there's not a door in Nashville that won't swing wide open for you!! Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Label - No full critiques. Your vocals should sound like a real Country artist, not a one-man band studio project. They need radio-worthy, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic wheelhouse of acts like Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Eli Young Band, Keith Urban, etc., etc., etc. Quoting the source: "This amazing band is one of Country music's top, Multi-Platinum acts, and are known for their incredible vocals and harmonies, high-energy Pop-Country hits, and ability to consistently turn out #1's. So needless to say, the songs need to be amazing! Melodies need to be super current, radio-competitive, tightly structured, and feature B-I-G, driving, stand-alone hit choruses. Lyrics need to present fresh lyrical perspectives and themes that are reflective of guys in their 30's or 40's. ORCHESTRAL, TRAILER-STYLE INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a UK-based Production Music Library with many great placements in Film and TV. They’re working hard to build an awesome catalog of Trailer-esque Instrumentals in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the following references:

“Heart Of Courage” by Two Steps From Hell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRLdhFVzqt4

“Guardian At The Gates” by Audiomachine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ub0SJpFDko8

“Thunderborn” by Really Slow Motion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcw1ZmMHTgg

Quoting the source: “We’re looking for music for a new library album entitled ‘Trailer and Promo.’” Instrumentals only, though atmospheric, non-lyrical vocals/choirs are fine. These tracks will be for Film and Video Game trailers, as well as TV sports promo spots. Tracks need to be at least 2 minutes long and inspired by generic film trailer formula: Immediate emotional starts or big hits surrounded by space are some ideas. Builds/gear changes throughout are essential, lots of vibe, and tons of excitement. Dropping to nothing about 75% of the way through is another idea - be creative! Classical instrumentation for this one, with highest quality sounds only please, bad or unconvincing MIDI sounds won’t work. Good references are: Two Steps From Hell, Really Slow Motion Music & Audiomachine.”

Please submit well-crafted Instrumentals that are structured like a typical Film Trailer, with 3 distinct “acts” that build as the composition progresses. Your submissions should use authentic/convincing sounding orchestral elements like dynamic strings, compelling brass, and large impactful percussion to create intensity of epic proportion!

As mentioned in the quote, your submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Easy edit points and crescendos that lead to buttoned/stinger endings are strongly encouraged. Pieces that crescendo to a buttoned ending, followed by a codetta (as often used in Trailers) are okay to submit as well. Please do NOT copy or rip off the referenced trailers in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE 50/50 deal on performance royalties, and an 80/20 split in the Writer’s favor for any applicable download fees by clients from their Library, so please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with any other Libraries or Catalogs. You’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit one to three Instrumentals online or per CD no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Thursday, September 3rd, 2015. TAXI #U150903OT

Remember, they're looking for Cues, so please be sure your submissions develop as they progress by adding and subtracting different layers of instruments to keep it interesting and forward moving. Easy edit points and buttoned/stinger endings are recommended for this pitch. Please do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists' music, sounds, or any other form of media. SIMPLE, PLAYFUL, and slightly QUIRKY INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a UK-based Production Music Library with lots and lots of great placements in Film and TV. They’re currently building a brand new catalog of Instrumental cues in the general stylistic ballpark of these references they gave us:

How It’s Made Clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYhEbjhhcAg

Child Genius Clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k73q9KiKyIc

Alan Titchmarsh’s Summer Garden Clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umNBzwDVYTY

Quoting the source: “We’re looking for music for a new library album entitled “Factual Lite.” Instrumentals should be at least 2 minutes long. This is music to sit behind light, factual programming. Trying to create something that is not too dark but not too happy is key here. Light instrumentation such as pizzicato strings, bells, piano, all used in interesting and quirky ways can be good starting points, but don’t feel limited to these. Writing using modes can be effective, but not essential. These tracks must be interesting & classy, but remain relatively neutral for maximum application! Go for mainly acoustic instrumentation, highest quality samples only, bad or unconvincing MIDI sounds will be rejected. Avoid the more tense or overly comedic cues, we will be doing listings for those at a later date.”

Please submit lighthearted, emotionally positive Instrumental Cues that that have a catchy melodic motif, with a bouncy, playful vibe. As mentioned in the quote, authentic sounding Pizzicato strings, glockenspiel (bells), and acoustic piano will work really well for this pitch, but you do NOT need to limit yourself to just those suggestions. Additional instrumentation like acoustic guitar, bass, light percussion, could also work for this pitch. Ideally, your submissions need to sound like they’d work really well under factual scenes that we all know and love when we hear them in shows like “How It’s Made,” which some us watch WAY too much late at night ;-)

We don’t know about you, but we love learning how wood burning fireplaces are built. We especially love when the voiceover guy says, “A worker seats the framatz on top of the glometz, then uses an automated torque wrench to tighten the screws with just the right amount of pressure.”

As mentioned in the quote, your submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Easy edit points and non-faded endings will work best. NEW LISTING -- Original, CHEESY, KITSCHY MUZAK-STYLE INSTRUMENTALS are needed for a NON-Exclusive, $1,000 placement by the Music Supervisor of a Big Budget Feature Film. They’re hunting for Mid-Tempo Instrumentals that you’d expect to hear coming from a grocery PA system or a department store elevator. Please listen to the compilation below to get an idea of what could generally work for this pitch:

Elevator Muzak Sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdJWZxPW45c

Quoting the source: “Looking for some Muzak-style tunes to play as grocery store background source music. It can be Jazzy, but shouldn't have any particular instrument that sticks out too much. Definitely Mid-Tempo - nothing too fast or slow. Should be at least 2:30 in length.”

That pretty much says it all! Crap!!! Now we can’t get Girl From Ipanema out of our heads! But note that this Supervisor needs ORIGINAL INSTRUMENTALS, not covers for this pitch. Broadcast Quality in the context of cheesy Muzak-style is needed. In other words, dated synth sounds might actually work for this pitch!

The estimated license fee for this placement is $1,000. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll get 100% of the sync fee, you’ll keep 100% of your Publishing and Master ownership, and you’ll also get 100% of any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a Music Coordinator working directly on the Film. NEW LISTING -- ORIGINAL INSTRUMENTAL CUES in ALL GENRES and ALL TEMPOS are needed for TAXI Compilations that we send to Music Libraries and Music Supervisors as “calling cards” when we reach out to them for new opportunities for our members. We typically build compilations that are tailored to each potential new client, and we get the music from a “pool” that will be culled from this Listing.

We’re looking for a broad range of styles/genres that you’d typically hear (mostly) in TV shows: Tension, Swampy, Quirky, Light Acoustic, Indie Folk, Comedy, Crime Scene/Investigative/Procedural, Horror/Suspense, Hip Hop, Dance/Pop, Military/Marches, Rock (all types), Jazz (all types from solo cocktail piano to full band), Orchestral, Film Trailer, Metal, Blues, Blues Rock, EDM, Funk, Action/Adventure, R&B, Dubstep, World (all common ethnicities/genres), Ambient, Trip Hop, Island, Punk, New Age, etc., etc., etc.

Your moods can run the gamut, and ALL TEMPOS are okay for this pitch. Your submissions should be at least 90 seconds long. Non-faded endings are strongly preferred, and easy edit points are a big plus!

TAXI Tip: Our A&R team will be looking for the “cream of the crop” for these compilations, so please don’t get bummed out if your Cue doesn’t get selected for this opportunity. It doesn’t mean it’s not good, but we are going to be very selective as we will only be able to use a few tracks for each genre in each of the compilations we build. Virtually all of the Cues used in previous compilations have already been signed at this point, so we need some fresh examples for future versions.

Please send ORIGINAL INSTRUMENTAL CUES that are NOT already signed with any Publishers, Libraries, or catalogs! Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). You must own or control the copyright and master recording to submit for this pitch. Submitting to this Listing does NOT preclude you for pitching the Cues for other TAXI or outside opportunities. All Cues will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Instrumentals no later than 11:59 pm (PDT), on Monday, September 14th, 2015. TAXI #U150914IC

The mood/emotion of your submissions can range, but it's important that your Cue sticks to one singular mood or emotion fro beginning to end. In other words, don't try to score an entire film in one piece. They prefer Cues that are "one thing" from top to bottom. Your submissions should focus on a simple melodic motif, while adding and subtracting instrumental layers as it progresses to keep it interesting and forward moving. NEW LISTING -- CONTEMPORARY POP and/or POP/ROCK SONGS Male or Female Vocals (Female preferred), are needed for a $30,000 - $35,000 Buyout Deal by a Production Company working on a Fall Ad Campaign for a Popular Female Shoe/Fashion Website. They’re on the hunt for lively, Ad-friendly Up-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic wheelhouse of acts like Katy Tiz, Neon Trees, Heartsrevolution, etc., etc., etc. Please take a careful listen to the references they picked to get a general idea of what could work:

“Whistle (While You Work It)” by Katy Tiz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2MNdFKUDVg

“Everybody Talks” by Neon Trees: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5G9tIe84lE

“Kishi Kaisei” by Heartsrevolution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoyQ8iZku34&feature=youtu.be

Quoting the source: “The client was very happy with their music selection for the last campaign, and are looking for similar, energetic Female Pop Songs with a really memorable chorus. Female vocals are preferred; however, we are open to male vocals in the style of Neon Trees/female friendly bands. Instead of the ad celebrating women/shoes in groups, the Fall campaign spots will focus on individuals and their personalized style. One spot will follow an uptown girl, the other spot will follow a downtown girl, and there may be split screen spot. In each, the uptown and downtown girls meet at the end.”

Please submit full-length, hook-driven, Ad-friendly songs that sound like a real Pop cut, with an inviting vocal performance and overall sound that puts some pep in your step! Think about the confident and upbeat nature of Female shoe commercials, and imagine how your song can fit the bold, confident, and empowered women in the campaign. You get the idea… give them something they can strut to, with immediately engaging melodies, hooks, lyrics, and polished production. The chorus will a big focus for this campaign, so be sure yours is awesome!

Lyric themes should be broad, general, and universal, so you’d be wise to avoid lyrics with references to specific dates, times, places, brands, or profanity. It’s probably not a great idea to submit lyrics about buying shoes, but ideas that loosely fit the idea of stepping-out, strutting, etc. could potentially work (but you don’t need to limit yourself to those ideas). Please, do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe.

The creative fee for this will range between $30,000 to $35,000, all in, for 6 months. They mentioned they might have some room to adjust the budget/terms, so all deals will be made on a case-by-case basis, depending on the success and length of the campaign. No publisher splits. You’ll keep 100% of the fee! You must own or control the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All songs will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener handpicked by the company. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Friday, September 4th, 2015. TAXI #U150904PO

NEW LISTING -- LOVE-THEMED, 1960's-Style POP SONGS with Female Vocals are needed for a NON-Exclusive placement by the Music Supervisor of an Independent Film. This Supervisor works on some big TV shows, so pitching well to this listing could be a good way to get on her radar for other opportunities. They need great, original, Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic wheelhouse of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," by The Shirelles. Other songs from that era that are also in the general wheelhouse are: "I'm Gonna Get You Yet," by The Dixie Cups; "One Fine Day," by The Chiffons; and "Be My Baby," by The Ronettes. "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," by The Shirelles was the reference given by the Supervisor. Please submit songs with a classic 1960's sound and style, with instrumentation, melodies, sweet, innocent lyrics, and vocal style that sound like they're from that era. Great vocal harmonies should a big plus for this pitch! Universal lyrics will work best, so please avoid specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity. NEW LISTING -- 1960's-Style POP SONGS with Male Vocals are needed for a NON-Exclusive placement by the Music Supervisor of an Indie Film. They're looking hard to find classic sounding Down-Tempo Songs in the stylistic wheelhouse of "Crying" by Roy Orbison. The Supervisor isn't looking for songs that sound like clones of "Crying," so much as songs that have the general feel, emotion, and approximate tempo. Quoting the Supervisor: "The song will play as a girl is sitting alone, depressed about her lack of a relationship. Any song with lyrics about being lonely or crying will be great here as the song is used in a comedic way. Feel and tempo of the song should generally match 'Crying' by Roy Orbison." Please submit well-crafted songs that have a throwback '60s vibe, with a nostalgic vocal performance that generally matches the reference. Remember, this is to play over the scene in a comedic way, but they're NOT looking for the song to be quirky or funny. Rather, they need something to convey a sense of irony. As mentioned in the Supervisor's quote, lyric themes about being lonely or crying will work best. Universal lyrics are needed, so please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). NEW LISTING -- AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL, VINTAGE MOTOWN-STYLE Songs (recorded between 1959-1972) with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a Highly Successful Publisher of Period Music for Film & TV Licensing. If you’ve got original songs that were written and recorded back in the day, and would fit on a playlist with artists like (early) Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Martha and the Vandellas, The Four Tops, Gladys Knight, The Marvelettes, The Jackson 5, The Miracles, Mary Wells, etc., etc., etc., you need to submit for this opportunity! The Publisher also wants to hear artists of that era that are in the vein of Freda Payne, even though she was not on the Motown label.

Motown’s Greatest Hits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1Q5-TIC5pc

Band of Gold by Freda Payne: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtauQj65_4w

This Publisher is the hot, go-to company for a long list of extremely popular TV shows and big Feature Films when they need music that sounds authentic to a particular time period. This company often averages several placements per week, and many of those are TAXI members who’ve been signed with this company because they submitted to a listing like this!

Dozens of TAXI members have signed buy out, cash-up-front deals with this company. Several have even received checks for $10,000 - $15,000 (or more!) while still keeping their writer’s share and getting performance royalties on the back end! Deal sizes and buyout amounts vary depending on the number and quality of the songs picked up.

They DO NOT want material that was recently recorded and made to sound old. They can only use AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL, VINTAGE, MOTOWN-STYLE recordings of songs that actually were recorded between 1959 and 1972.

This is a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY to make money with music you might have thought had no hope in today’s market. If you’ve got Demos or Masters, then you could very well have what they need! This company knows that old recordings will sound less than hi-fidelity by today’s standards. Not a problem – they’re looking for authenticity! Even if your recordings were done in an old 4-track, 8-track or 16-track home studio, they could still be perfect for this company if they sound reasonably good. They DO NOT want slick, modern, ProTools generated recordings.

DO NOT SUBMIT FOR FRIENDS! Your name needs to be on the copyright. Your Songs need to be Original Compositions (no covers), and you need to own/control the copyright and master recordings to submit for this pitch.

Dozens of TAXI members have already made great deals and had some killer placements in big TV Shows and Feature Films through this company. If you’ve got some AUTHENTIC, VINTAGE oldies but goodies that have been collecting dust for decades, you really need to send them in for this opportunity! You’ll love working with this company – they’ve made a lot of TAXI members very happy! Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. Please include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59Pm (PDT), on Thursday, September 10th, 2015. TAXI #U150910MT

CONTEMPORARY, ACOUSTIC-DRIVEN (Piano and/or Guitar) SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by the VP of A&R at a Major Record Label for a charted Female artist that's working on a brand new record. Please submit radio-friendly, Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs that could be found on the same playlist as artists Christina Perri, James Blunt, Jason Mraz, etc., etc., etc. Quoting the source: "Male or female vocals are fine as long as the lyric fits a female perspective. The narratives should be vulnerable and honest, without too much edge. Structure and melody, well-crafted and engaging." Give them songs that are undeniably great, with inviting melodies, ear-grabbing hooks in all sections of the song, and a killer storyline. Your chorus should be really memorable and ready for radio. Stripped-down demos are okay for this pitch. Your recording quality (even for stripped-down demos) needs to be clean, clear, well balanced, and good enough to represent your song well. Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Label and must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Thursday, September 3, 2015. TAXI #S150903SS

NEW LISTING -- MELANCHOLY, 1960’s Style ACOUSTIC SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Male Vocals are needed for a NON-Exclusive, $1,000 placement by the Music Supervisor for the end credits of a really popular TV Series. He’s looking hard to find original, full-length, Mid-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic ballpark of Simon & Garfunkel. Take a listen to their hit song below to get an idea of what they need:

“Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fWyzwo1xg0

Quoting the source: “Looking for a very melancholy end credit song with some pace. Should have acoustic guitar intro.”

Reading that quote, we think having an acoustic guitar intro that runs about the same length, followed by a great first line like, “Hello darkness my old friend” is what they need. OBVIOUSLY, they’re not looking for a rip off, but they do seem to be looking for something that has that same emotional impact and effect.

Ideas like, “So this is how it ends,” or “Is this all there is?’ are ideas we just came up with, so go ahead and pull out some really sad, but fairly general lyrics for this pitch

Please submit sad songs that sound like they’re plucked straight from the ‘60s, with a gloomy lyric and vocal performance that leaves the audience with a heavy heart. Your submissions should be well crafted from start to finish, with great musicianship, and authentic instrumentation (sampled acoustic guitars will probably not work unless you’re some sort of genius).

Your lyrics should be dismal, bleak, and somber, but you’d be smart to avoid specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced act or song in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for the vibe they need. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).

The estimated license fee for this use is $1,000. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% of your Publishing and Master rights, plus you’ll also get 100% of the sync fee. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a Music Coordinator working directly on the show. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. TAXI #U150908SS

NEW LISTING -- EMOTIONALLY POSITIVE, ACOUSTIC-Based (Guitar and/or Piano-Based) SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by the Owner of a Boutique, NON-Exclusive Music Licensing Company that’s feeding music directly to the Producer of a very popular TV Series on a Major Broadcast Network. They need original, contemporary, Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the broad stylistic wheelhouse of acts like The Chevin, Bora York, Jenny Lewis, etc., etc., etc. Please take a careful listen to the following references to get in the ballpark of what they need. And please remember, they’re not looking for clones, just songs that people would think are in a similar “bag” as the refs, or would be on a playlist along with the referenced songs.

“Beautiful World” by The Chevin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fj0jBKWEaQY

“Dreaming Free” by Bora York: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFOaoIQ22SI

“The New You” by Jenny Lewis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGhS_qWR63Q

Quoting the source: “There is a female character in the show that’s very involved with school, so we tend to use a lot of music that have positive connotations for school dances and BBQs. For her character, they love ‘Beautiful World’ by The Chevin. So anything that you have in that vein (whether it’s fast or slow paced), in the general vibe will work well for her character.”

Please submit well-crafted songs that sound like a real, authentic act, with inviting melodies, and a really compelling chorus. Your submissions can be a simple Guitar/Vocal or Piano/Vocal performance, or a fuller production with additional instrumentation. Your vocals should be well-performed, with a commercially appealing sound and style.

Lyric themes can vary, but should be universal, with positive themes that can help support the character referenced in the above quote. Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, and profanity. Please do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).

This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 split. You'll collect 100% of the Writer's share. The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this pitch. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). CUSTOM CRITIQUES

If you have material you would like critiqued without responding to a specific listing, you've come to the right place. Fill out the submission form with the song title(s) and author(s) as usual, but in place of the listing number write "CUSTOM" in capital letters.
Please include a note specifying the aspects you would like the listener to address.
For example, some members like to have their craft (lyrics, rhyme, structure, etc.) closely critiqued. Others want to know for which genre their writing is best suited (sorry, but we can't recommend specific listings for you to pitch to). Still others want a review of their photos, bios, package, etc.
The submission fee is $20 per song. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and make sure to specify if you want the CD back, or just a critique. Remember, these critiques are for your own edification and development and NOT targeted for a label or publisher, and therefore will not be forwarded.
