ZINGA is the sound of raw emotion, soaring melody, and powerful storytelling. Blending elements of rock, acoustic ballads, and alternative edge, ZINGA crafts music that cuts deep—anchored in heartfelt lyrics and gritty, atmospheric arrangements.
Influenced by artists like Staind, Godsmack, 3 Doors Down, and Breaking Benjamin, ZINGA builds each song around strong melodies and dynamic instrumentation. Subtle Eastern flavors occasionally weave into the mix, adding a global texture—but the heart of the music is always rooted in honesty and individuality.
Born into music, Shayan Ali grew up under the spotlight. His father founded the original ZINGA, Bangladesh’s first pop band, in the 1960s. Touring with the band from an early age, Ali performed on national television by the time he was six. By fourteen, he was producing his own tracks, learning keyboard and acoustic guitar, and building the foundation for the artist he is today.
Based in Chicago, Ali reclaims the name ZINGA—originally drawn from the Spanish "Zíngaro", meaning gypsy—as a symbol of his free-spirited, genre-defying approach. While his roots shaped him, ZINGA’s music is forward-facing: emotionally resonant, melodically driven, and unapologetically his own.
