VERBAL i RECORDS/ MUSIC: Together, Jan'ese and Chosun1 Kanobi, born and raised in Indiana has a honed and perfected skill of sound and vibe. They have a chemistry that will have you swooning in wanting to be where they are. Individually, they carry a singing and rapping style of their own that is unmatched. Their music is different in their eyes because they bring a multitude of styles in their songs by the experience they both have from listening to the music of their grandparents from the 50's & 60's to the music of today, which allows them to hone in on a different sound, a new way of developing their own sound. A little hood, but they sing and rap a lot about love, life and different scenario type, out of the box type music. They like to call it UNIVERSAL MUSIC because it is for everyone. Not every song is kid- friendly but they have been known to entertain the kids as well. They like to flip the script so to speak when it comes to the delivery of their songs. They will reel you in just by the magical way they come together like an old school Ashford and Simpson with a splash of Jay'once. Some of their main influences in music has been vast but to name a few, Michael Jackson, born and raised a few towns over from them. Baby Face, who is from their hometown, artist such as Tupac, Wu- Tang, Shirley Murdock, Melisa Morgan, Luther Vandross, NWA and so on... Their love for their own music and the music of the world is vast and heavy. They just want to do it their way just as anyone else. For the love of it.
