Trouble in Hong Kong

We are Paul Johnston and Andy Williams from Brighton UK and “Trouble in Hong Kong” and "Bang up to the Gospel" are our nom de plume for a unique, diverse and intriguing portfolio of sync ready songs, instrumentals and cues.

Paul is renowned for his sweeping sonic vista's and Andy for his majestic choir and instrument arrangements. Together they create a special blend of sound that is both unique and accessible.

Brighton’s vibrant creative scene provides a fantastic backdrop to our work as well as a pool of fine collaborators. Styles range from Gospel Songs to Baroque Pop to Drag Queen Anthems.

We have composed over 100 pieces of music in the last 5 years which includes a complete musical (the aforesaid “Trouble in Hong Kong”) and 5 albums of original Gospel Music tracks from which have been played on BBC Radio 2 as well as many independent platforms. PRS registered.

We can provide Full and Instrumental versions of all compositions as well as specific arrangements and re-recording’s at our studio. Commissions are welcome.
