Steve and Dolapo

American/Nigerian singer-songwriting duo Steve and Dolapo leverage their unique theatrical blend of pop, soul, R&B, choral and West African music elements to create audio beauty that emphasizes the power of friendship, positivity, love, empathy, and inclusion. Steve Petrinko and Dolapo Oladejo met in late 2021 and quickly became best friends. They formed a production company in 2024 named “Steve and Dolapo Productions” and have a website at www.steveanddolapo.com! They have a full-length vinyl album release titled Companion(2024) and also have many released and pre-release singles. Critical reception to both their album and singles has been overwhelmingly positive and can be viewed on the website. Steve and Dolapo have more than 60 years of combined choir experience. Steve is also a multi-instrumentalist (acoustic drum kit, bass, upright bass, guitar, saxophones, keyboards, marimba, vibraphone, steel pan, world percussion). Inspirations range from Orlando Julius, Beatles, Angelique Kidjo, Bee Gees, Earth, Wind and Fire, Lionel Richie, Fela Kuti, Andrea Bocelli, David Bowie, Josh Groban, Luther Vandross, & Abba to Queen.
