Robert J Roth

American Artist, Painter and Composer. Born 1957 in Bloomington, Illinois. Raised in Marin County, California.
Began writing and composing music in Classical, Romantic and modern Neo-Classical genres in the early 1970s. Worked with the Marin Youth Symphony Orchestra (with Hugo Rinaldi) in 1975, the Santa Clara Youth Orchestra (with George Champion) in 1977, and the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra in 1997. Most of my inspiration comes from family, friends, places, events and legend. My genres include; Classical, neo-Classical, Romantic, modern Pop Orchestral, Americana, Patriotic, Easy-Listening, Children's Music, Folk, Fantasy and World music. Today all my works are presented electronically due to shortage and exclusivity of orchestras. I have composed two symphonies, several orchestral suites, symphonic poems, chamber music, and collections of Children's music and other topics. All of my works are available for easy listening and viewing on my Youtube channel; printed orchestral scores and parts available on request. My music is tonal, harmonious, upbeat, positive and structured mostly in song or classical forms. Each individual piece is scored complete for concert hall performances, and not fragmented, canned or overblown with tech-heavy blockbuster walls of sound. I use various orchestral combinations (woods, brass, strings, timpani), and often include percussion (Xylophone, Glockenspiel), drums, piano and harp, wordless chorus, organ.
