Rob Coffin is a singer songwriter from Long Island, New York who was influenced by boredom, comedy and irreverence, human condition, peace, equality, freedom, spirituality, compassion and human interaction. Musically? The guy’s all over the place! The Beatles, Blue October, Wilco, Pink Floyd, and Lil’ Peep. His dream of success is to pursue altruistic endeavors and give back…
To give you a description of his music: it is the sum of his influences, which can sound at times like classic rock to power pop to post rock electronica, but it’s all heartfelt rock with a twist of melancholy.
His music interests began in a house with a father who playing classical piano and listening to doo wop rock & roll, while his mother played folk, country, Beatles and Simon & Garfunkle. This led him to guitar lessons at age 12, followed by music college. He’s collaborated on many critically acclaimed songs and albums, co-written over his career with various bands and artist- but the shining accomplishment has been to finally release his first ever single as a solo artist: “Steel Umbrella” in 2024 and is currently in the studio working on completing his debut album due for release in 2025.
