I'm a composer residing in LA. I tend to write music for songs in the ballad/romantic area, including "pop opera," Broadway-esque songs, film music type material as well as crossover-country, but have also written up-tempo music. I have had a strong interest in Europop and Eurovision-type songs (especially French) over the years (because of the strong emphasis on melody), and have been inspired by singers such as Streisand, Celine Dion, Lara Fabian, Isabelle Boulay, Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Dionne Warwick, Loren Allred, and others. Some of my musical influences over the years have been: Burt Bacharach, Henry Mancini, Michel Legrand, Francis Lai, Paul Mauriat, David Foster, Neil Diamond, Pasek & Paul, Walter Afanasieff. Lyricists I have followed and admired over the years: Hal David, Paul Williams, Carole Bayer Sager, Will Jennings, Marilyn & Alan Bergman, Leslie Bricusse. In addition to English lyrics, some of the music that I write would be suitable for a French or Italian lyric to be sung by an Euro Pop artist.
I'm a big proponent of strong melody, and am hoping to find a lyricist who can share my musical enthusiasms. I've got lots of song melodies that need quality lyrics, but can write to finished lyrics as well.
