Robert “Redsta44” Woods is a multi-talented live performer, recording artist, producer, studio engineer, beat composer, and songwriter whose lifelong passion for music has been the driving force behind his journey.
From the early age of four, Robert’s musical path began when he first started banging on his mother’s pots and pans with wooden spoons, discovering a rhythm that would shape his destiny. By nine, he was playing drums in his father’s Country Western and Classic Rock band, performing alongside seasoned musicians and honing his skills until the age of fourteen. During these years, Robert discovered a profound love not only for rhythm but also for expressing his voice and sharing his stories through music.
At seventeen, he began recording in local studios and has continued creating ever since. Over the years, he has built an extensive library of more than 500 original songs, showcasing his versatility as both a songwriter and performer. His dedication and talent have earned him the opportunity to open for major recording artists, including Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on five separate occasions, Bad Boy Records’ R&B group 112, and legendary battle DJ, DJ Rectangle.
Robert’s music has been featured multiple times on Milwaukee’s top radio stations, with standout tracks such as “Tongue-Twist,” “I’m A Rider,” and “Mil-Rock” connecting deeply with local audiences. His skills extend beyond performance; he is proficient in playing drums and keyboards, as well as recording and arranging both lead and background vocals.

Robert’s artist identity, “R.E.D.44,” reflects a profound philosophy about life and purpose through Hip-Hop music and culture. The two "4" s represent two lowercase "h" letters turned upside down, resembling 44. The two h's represent an abbreviation for Hip-Hop.
