
Larry Stephens

Larry Stephens is a gifted musician, songwriter, composer and arranger. As a Saxophonist, Larry has performed with Ben Tankard, The Colorado Mass Choir with Joe Pace, Sylvia Penny, Jerry Nelson, Dave Boyer, and the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra. He recorded the CD “Offering”, a collection of original works with some gospel music arrangements included, completed in 1997. He was later named as a finalist in the Rocky Mountain Music Association Christian Artist Showcase in 1998. The title song "Offering", from the above CD, was later included as part of the popular video game, Portal 2. In May of 2016, Larry's jazz instrumental, "Little Town Shuffle" was included in an episode of NBC's "Blindspot". In 2017 Larry completed the CD "Full Circle", a compilation of original smooth jazz under the artist name, "The Larry Stephens Project."
Larry has been an arranger for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps of Denver, CO, writing arrangements for the corps while attending college. He is an alumnus of the University Of Northern Colorado, where he was part of the UNC Jazz Lab Band 1.
Larry is a Publisher member of ASCAP, and also has certifications in Sound Reinforcement and Sound Design from Syn-Aud Con. He also sings Tenor with Canto Deo Choir, a community-based choir dedicated to the preservation and excellent performance of fine sacred choral works.
