Mark Feil is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from New York, now residing in sunny South Florida. After graduating from high school, Mark began gigging and recording with local bands in the Tri-state area. Within a week of moving to South Florida, Mark was already in a band and on stage, quickly joining the musical landscape of the local scene and continuing to play gigs and record at every opportunity. He soon began playing acoustic guitar and studying voice with some of Miami’s premier voice coaches. Mark assembled a project studio in his home and produced his debut CD, “A Thousand Suns,” featuring some of the area’s finest musicians. During this time, he also began playing solo gigs in coffee houses, bars, restaurants, and festivals.
It was while playing the saxophone in his high school jazz band that he found himself enamored with the bass guitar. He quickly learned to play, falling so in love with the instrument that he’d skip classes and practice all day while his parents were at work. As a youngster camped out right in front of the speakers, listening over and over to so many of the records which redefined popular music, he found a passionate connection to the rhythms, melodies, lyrics, sounds, and voices he would hear, falling under the spell of rock artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin. He also developed a keen interest in classical and jazz, and soon discovered that music had the power to take the listener on a journey to another place and time.
Mark is currently writing, composing, recording, and producing new songs with infectious melodies, thought provoking lyrics, and heartfelt performances. He continues to draw upon his vast range of musical influences to create music which intends to stir the mind and delight the senses.
